Unreal again tonight. 2-0 down with less than five minutes of normal time left and won 3-2, with an absolute worldie of a winner 8+ mins into stoppage time. https://x.com/AberdeenFC/status/179012

Too early to say on the latter imo and I suspect he was probably only meant to play 45 mins after playing 45 2 days ago.  I think Gyamfi has potential 2bh but time will tell, he's defo not fully match fit yet.

Gyamfi was disappointing tonight. I would have expected a player who is supposed to be a first team regular for us to have stood out against a league 2 side but he didn’t. As you say it may be down to him not being fit but it was concerning.

He wasn't great against well either jute which was also concerning but I had thought he looked handy when we saw him before. Fingers crossed it's just a coming back from injury thing.

Missed pre season training due to injury, come back and got injured again.

hopefully he has more to offer once fully fit.

Actually finished 5-2 with Mark Stowe scoring a belter for Spartans at the end.

Dons team were decent in first half playing nice football but once we conceded one just collapsed. Second half Spartans pressed us further up field which young team seemed to struggle with. Impressed with Dylan Ross, Alfie Stewart and Jack Searle for Dons.

That’s me down to 7 league grounds left to see Dons play at.

I stand corrected my friend.

The lesson for me is to never trust the word of someone with previous for leaving a couple of minutes early 😉

Jutes usually gone by half time 😂

The scurrilous accusation that I only stayed to the end because the nearest pub ( where you won’t get stabbed) to Ainslie Park is 30 minutes walk might be true.

Surely due a call back in Jan? Seems to be doing everything right at the moment.

Said it already, given the season, I’d prefer to see Marshall and kjarten given some time over aouchiche palaversa sivert, even Clarkson. None stand out or do enough to merit significant minutes. I’d say shinnie and Armstrong are our top two (even Shinnie is in decline). None are consistently good that why not give kjarten or Marshall a look between Jan and summer before splashing more cash.

Hard to disagree with any of that, although I really would like us to retain Clarkson by actually getting the best out of him. Him not playing is ridiculous. Ultimately, I don't want to see Marshall go for nothing, if we've still got a chance anyway.

According to the above article,he seems to want to do well at Arbroath to get back in the picture at the Dons

Prob not a good comparison but McKenna was average at ayr, got a chance with us due to injury, and the rest is history. Why not spend Jan - June looking at Marshall before we spend on midfielders in the summer, or drag in another loan or two.

id prefer to see Marshall and milanovic play before aouchiche. We have two loaners and karlsson is obviously the better of the two, but neither of them help us long term. Aouchiche is this years okkels that I cannot see us spending 1.5 or whatever on him. He’s not bad but surely we can find better for that money, and it makes sense to take a look at Marshall if he’s an attacking midfielder - does he offer more than Aouchiche  polvara or palaversa??

Same for kjarten, let’s see what’s he’s capable of. Sivert and shinnie aren’t going to get better, plus we’ve seen enough to know what palaversa can do, surely it’s time to see what kjarten can do in that space. perhaps kjarten is a good fit alongside Clarkson? We’ll never know unless we take a look.

We might not know, as fans, but you'd like to think that the manager will. There's a reason Kjartansson hasn't been given a run out whilst the rest of our midfield is struggling, and a reason he wasn't in the European squad. He's only 19, and there isn't a huge rush if he isn't ready. I don't believe that Marshall or Kjartansson should be starting for us, but we need to make room in the squad for them to get minutes (or send Kjartansson on loan if he's not there yet). It's still a big step up from Arbroath to Aberdeen, and it wouldn't surprise me if Marshall didn't have the required athleticism to make it at the higher level.

The biggest problem that both would face is that JT hasn't got the slightest clue what our best midfield setup is anyway. Shoehorning Marshall into that horrific 3-4-3 at right forward would do the guy no favours, and he doesn't look to have the legs to play box to box. Which is our biggest problem with these two young lads. The role we are looking for is a guy that is athletic and can cover lots of ground. They'll suffer if we don't get that player.

It's completely true and easily my biggest criticism of Thelin but, in fairness, I dont have a fucking clue what our best midfield setup is either.

Another goal for Marshall today

The downside is that he'll be cup tied 😉

Decent watch?

No idea just following updates.

I was at Easter Road watching Hibs U19s v Dynamo Kyiv earlier which was a decent watch. Finished 1-1.

Dons won 2-0.

Fraserburgh beat Keith on penalties in the other semi final.

ETA Dons game was quarter final. Through to play Deveronvale in semi final

Anyone got any feedback on kjarten, bilalovic, and frame? Are they any good?? Not just tonight, I’ve heard so little of their performances season to date.
