  1. It's easy, and definitely worth it. You need a roller machine thing like, but I can whack out a good pasta in the same time as dried takes (although it is better if you can leave it for a while before rolling).
  2. Wright's pretty much the same age as Maddison, I doubt he's going to learn much of the built-in talent that Maddison has. Agreed he needs game time though. Stockley and Pawlett on at 3-0 means we're unlikely to ever see Wright in a dons top (he'll be gone before the opportunity arises). Storie could easily have been on for Shinnie (who was having a great game, but had made 3-4 fouls already and he's already halfway to suspension; lucky not to be booked at the weekend). McLean upped his game again at the weekend, and I do believe that Maddison's position is McLean's best too. He's a very capable player that with a bit of confidence could cause a lot of problems for defenders. Maddison is getting a lot of leeway for errors too, which is great as it means he's trying lots of different things. He plays as if the pressure is off him, which it is to an extent (he secured that in his first few games), which must be great for him. When McLean joined, there was a different level of pressure on him. That's not to say that McLean is as good a player just that he has a lot of the attributes to play that role (if he could learn to turn like Maddison does on a six pince that'd be ace) and I hope he's given that opportunity again when Maddison leaves us (hopefully at the end of the season).
  3. New Adam Curtis documentary on iPlayer. Ace as always fae him. Not quite sure why it's nae on the normal telly like. They could easily split it into two or three parts and throw it on BBC4 instead of the repeats they keep showing. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p04b183c/adam-curtis-hypernormalisation
  4. Yer pasta looks affa thick, did you use a pasta roller dealy? Looks fine though.

    WW3

Anonymous official on youtube is always good for some WW3 chat like, I do love a bit of excitement. It's the Chinese we need to worry about too. The yanks have been riling them in the South China Sea for years now, with any attempt at defence by the Chinaman classed as act of war. Luckily we have someone like Obama in charge, the winner of the nobel peace prize, who has overseen the building more nuclear warheads than any other president in history. Trump's position on Russia is to do business with them and withdraw from Ukraine. Make of that what you will.
  6. Looks like somebodies shite on yer plate, then spewed on the shite afore placing some nicely chopped veg at the side.

  8. Smith should have gone somewhere better than Dundee Utd. Even their neighbours perhaps. He's a decent player who'll play lower SPL I reckon and may prove to be better than that as he's comfortable on the ball and reasonably quick-footed. I doubt we'll learn anything about him whilst he's playing championship fitba and I can see just letting him go at the end of his contract. Shankland never going to be good enough unfortunately. Possibly a bit later in his career I suppose, when he learns how to use his body a bit better, as he's got a decent touch.
  9. Is that you Jraham?
  10. He's just an 'al cunt.
  11. Nobody forced ye.
  12. Worth a look?
  13. I wear red socks and shave my pubics.
  14. I use VPN and watched the last game on Red TV just fine. Unless you're fae Red TV and trying to catch folk oot, in which case it's fucked and I've never tried it anyway even if it isn't fucked, which it isn't but is.
  15. I have an Amazon Fire TV box, and I installed Kodi. Given my atrocious internet connection it was essentially pointless. An endless fuck about too. Although the Amazon box is good with a Prime subscription, just nae the Kodi part for me. There is another option oot there too, which involves a satellite dish of sorts, which might do a better job. Forgotten what it's called though - basically fake sky, illegalish.
  16. Can you nae just tow it somewhere else?
  17. I was joking. But, selfishness would be a good reason. Old Deer, then they can fuck off back to Dundee with no need to stop anywhere near me on the way.
  18. I think Old Deer is the perfect place for gypos.
  19. The only real problem with this site is the volume of threads devoted to people coming over from Aberdeen Mad. Hemmin, Buc, there was both an Introductions thread, and an Aberdeen Mad thread that you could have looked at you al' feel. Or were you looking for a full list?
  20. There are hunners of ex-dandies in manangement Roy Aitken - the dandies Toni Kombouare - PSG? Arild Stavrum - Molde etc Tommy Wright - Corby Town Robbie Winters - East Kilbride Billy Dodds - QoTS? Judas - Elgin and some yank pish The dazzler - locaes Derek Whyte - Partick? None particularly successful. Indeed, our most successful former player now in management is: Jackie McNamara
  21. My mate's a hibee, says he's been poor so far this season, so it's good to see Scotlandsquaditis doesn't just turn our players to pish after being picked. In this instance though, I'm with Strachan. I think there needs to be a batch of youngsters that step up from the u21s with a view to integrating them in future years. They're nae likely to get much game time, but are promising enough that we can give them a wee round aroon when we're getting our airses handed to us and hte game's over. I expect there'll be plenty of opportunities for McGinn in this campaign.
  22. Fuck Doncaster, this is our fucking problem. Our weak statement wasn't enough, it was pathetic. We should be kicking off about this.
  23. Yep, that's it. He hasn't learned that from the Georgia game where he picked 5-6 players who weren't playing for their teams because "they hadn't let him down in the past". Fucking criminal. What's worse is that a cursory glance back at previous Scotland failures would show that had been the case before (McLeish made that mistake against Georgia previously and learnt from it). Scotland simply don't have the quality of player that even though they're not playing for their team are still good enough to be automatic pick for their country (I think Burke may get to that stage, and McFadden whilst at Everton was probably the last player who would have been at that level). The thing is, international management is simple. Your role as manager is to get the best available players to turn up and get on with each other enough for 5-6 days that they can perform on the pitch and then go home. No favourites, no fall-outs, no not picking certain players because you don't like them etc. If a player is not playing for their team, then they don't make the first team unless there is no obvious replacement or they are an exceptional talent that brings something different to the team. Match fitness is key, and players shouldn't be getting themselves sharp playing for Scotland. Hanley is a poor footballer at the best of times but, whilst I disagree, I sort of understand the reasons for playing him - in the same way was I understand why Ash Taylor gets a game for the dons. However, a Grant Hanley who isn't playing regularly takes being a liability to new extremes. The goals against Lithuania, Slovakia and numerous chances in both those games were directly caused by his concentration going out the window - i.e. match sharpness. I've been to many Scotland games where he's played and its obvious for anyone to see the dip from shite to really shite. The fact that he has a right back playing alongside him was made obvious by Martin's attempt at marking for the second goal - he made the exact move you'd expect from a right back who'd assume there was a centre half covering behind him. Strachan has to go. It'll only get worse with him there and he simply can't learn lessons. The group is going in his favour so far, but we can't make decisions based on the luck that was outwith his control. The warning signs were there in the last campaign and he's taken forward his inability to learn lessons, thrown in a couple of huns for unnecessary good measure and we're left with a total cunt at the helm.
  24. The problem is the two party system (like here), and personality politics (like here). That anyone in any society anywhere thinks they need a single person to represent them is absurd. Trump should never be un-electable, because he shouldn't have the authority that would make his (or Clinton's) decisions have meaning. He should just be the sales guy selling a branch of the Republicans policy, nothing more. That he's a pervert or a tax dodger or an idiot is neither here nor there. The yanks should stop being such a bunch of deferential fucks and understand that they don't need a fuckin president to be a successful, caring (or uncaring) and productive country. Same goes for the UK.
  25. Second season is better I reckon, well worth continuing with.
