Not sure that would stand up in court! If he'd punched the guy square in the face the minute it occurred I'd have understood, but there was a decent amount of time between the abuse and the assault. I don't think he'll be charged, but he'll be lucky not to be. I think uefa have got it about right there, with the Czech guy missing out on the Euros. Again, the Tims being lionised (by Anwar this time) on the BBC without a single mention of the Logan incident. It'd be an interesting thought experiment to consider what would have happened had Logan been playing for the Huns. I think they would have hung their player out to dry. That's the biggest thing in the eyes of Scottish football, the relationship between the two cheeks. Much bigger than racism, ironically.

Looking forward to it, wouldn't expect much change from the second half of last week. Glass had been fortunate with the timing of his arrival. Hornby being fit makes a big difference to the setup of the team. It's not that I think he's particularly great (jury is still out), but having a number 9 on the pitch completely effects the way we play and brings out the best in the other players. We've not had a fit number nine this year and arguably all season despite Watkins playing the role very well. Hopefully Hornby shoes what his large transfer fees were all about.

I think it was more than that, and we've seen it in every game Sheerin has managed. It's clearly been forced on them and it's clear that they've been told that they have to do it every single time. In other words, their game intelligence is being overridden by management ideology, as it was very clear that they were doing it when they weren't comfortable doing so. It's our new version of game management, which was drilled into our players under McInnes, limiting their freedom to instinctively move forward with the ball. I'm really hoping that Glass ditches it immediately and allows players to think for themselves. It's a very immature form of management, especially when it leads to so many opportunities for the opponent.

A half decent second half performance. A much better shape, Hayes and McGinn and even Kennedy performed much better around Hornby. All their opportunities in the second half came from us trying to play out unnecessarily. Took until the 89th minute for Lewis to go long from a goal kick as he'd clearly been told to go short every single time. McKenzie caught a couple of times. He looked good defensively and going forward but giving him the ball under pressure with no out ball wasn't clever. It's stupid stuff like, it's fine to play it out from the back if you're quick about it, but don't wait until the opposition is settled then pass to a centre half on a hard fast pitch. Poor coaching.

It's not playing out that's the issue, it's doing it every single time when you're already under pressure. Lovely goal, great play by the two wingers. Good start to the half. Hornby already done more than Kamberi.

Yep, terrible stuff so far, look like we'll be our own downfall with the championship manager pish from the back. Saints should just allow the first pass from Lewis and then close down quickly from there. Hopefully Hornby can manage a half. Kamberi and McGinn not working.

Totally agree. However, it's also important to note that our own chairman has said that it racism, or the defence of racism, is completely justifiable if it's one of your own (if one of our players was to racially abuse someone, it would be acceptable - perhaps expected - for our captain to back them). In other words, partisan club loyalties far outweigh any other form of abuse (racial, homophobic, child) or fraud in Scottish football. It would be great to hear some honesty regarding it as you say. The gaslighting kick racism out or knee taking just needs to stop. It portrays the game in an undeserving light.

I predict a goalfest. Maybe 1-0 them. I agree with RT that we'll go for a 4-3-3. I personally think that a 4-2-3-1 is our best bet. However they play three at the back so we might even match up with that, a 3-5-2 would be fine. Our biggest dilemma is midfield at the moment. As a three, Ferguson, McRorie and Campbell are unproductive (McGeouch wouldn't change that either). Useful for games against the scum, but not when we need to draw defenders out. With Brown coming in next season, it makes the dilemma even worse. I don't think we'll win with all three in the midfield.

He doesn't need to. Could just play Kamberi at number 10 in a 4-2-3-1. Alongside two from Ferguson, McRorie or Campbell he'd be fine. In fact, what we need.

He reminds me of Watkins actually. Quite strong, but not really strong. Quite fast but not really fast. Quite skillful, but not really skillful and can score goals, but not that often. I think he'd have been great with Wright and Hedges alongside him, he'd have done the link up play very well. You can see that his workrate has dropped off as he's become more and more isolated and missing chances as his confidence goes completely. I'd give him another go once Hornby is fit again. He's fortunate our choices are slim.
