  1. I'm afraid some things are just impossible. They're dead, you're just going to have to come to terms with it.
  2. I like to know where my way out is, particularly in shops. ( in fact my phobia is probably just shops) This has it's advantages. Mrs Donsdaft will never ever try to persuade me to go to Ikea again.
  3. Wouldn't watch shite like that but delighted to see the score. Shame eh?
  4. Cameron and Blair may well have had similar policies but neither is in power anymore. The Tories are being ripped apart by their right wing and Labour by their left. The only real difference is that Labour's fighting is all done in public while the Tories are much better at hiding it. I hope you are right about Blair, you should be but it's a frightening thought. No point in arguing about it, just sit back and watch it happening, it won't take long. A general election before the spring.
  5. Regarding foggy landings, I was flying into old Kai tak airport coming from Korea and the fog was dreadful. I was in and out of Hong Kong a fair bit so was used to flying through the skyscrapers. Fog fog fog.. fuck me a ship higher than us..land. We had come in the other way, I about shit mysel.
  6. It's the known that worries them, not the unknown. They have put themselves into a bastard of a position though. Public opinion will be " managed" as it always is and then they will have another referendum. Either that or ( my preferred option) there will arise a centre party to replace the Liberals and this party will win an overall majority in the House of Commons. Having run on a "remain in the EU" manifesto this will democratically overturn the referendum result. My biggest fear is that Tony Blair has something to do with the new centre party.

    Films

Any science fiction fans out there? I was watching a film being shot from my living room window a couple of years ago, Spectral it's called. Anyway it was due for release in August, it's finished but the company has delayed releasing it for reasons known only to themselves. I just wondered if any film buffs know what the fuck is really happening. I've no interest in actuality watching the film but it would be interesting to see the bits I saw being filmed, and of course to find out if it was any good.
  8. Because it is No ( well not for about 15 years) Absolutely No You're joking Ha Definitely not Oh, and fuck the Queen
  9. It's edges do it for me. Heights are not really a problem if I have something to hold on to but even seeing someone else near an edge ( at height) then I am about spewing
  10. My thoughts on this are well documented. From day 1 I said it wouldn't happen. As for hatchet face, to begin with I thought she would just pretend to want to take us out but eventually, once public opinion was softened have to "reluctantly " change tack. If she is doing this then she is playing a blinder, in fact Teresa quine, if you are reading this, give me a quick phone call to put my mind at rest. Leaving the EU is suicide, the politicians all know it and now they have to find a way to present continued membership in a positive light. All it ever was anyway was infighting among the tories and it went hideously wrong. As for being against the will of the people, well why don't we have a referendum on getting rid of all " darkies" and see how that goes.
  11. Next season will be the 40th anniversary of Theo's If they are thinking of having any sort of celebration then give me a shout. I don't mind presenting the Player of the Year award. Donsdaft, player of the year, 1977/78
  12. There was talk of a trial with "them" when I was a youngster but I was certainly not interested in that. "The new Derek Parlane" Played my juvenile football for Torry FP's Amateur level mostly for Theologians NE Sunday League for Red Star (player/manager) Also for a couple of seasons I was manager of Aberdeen Ladies. So, as you can see, I had a far more glittering career than if I had headed down Ibrox way. The truth is that I was never really any better than a decent amateur player. I enjoyed my football very much though and retired far too early when my first son was born.
  13. Nae pictures but you name it I've had it over the years. Dogs and cats are always special and I'm afraid I've had to take a few on that long last journey to the vet. Special mention for our cat Megan, Mrs Donsdaft is diabetic and Megan would wake her up if she was heading into a hypo. I've watched her doing it, she would jump up on to the bed, sniff Mrs Donsdaft's breath and if necessary, pad on her to wake her up. Megan had two kittens so we ended up with 3 cats. They were all 16-17 years old when the bad day came.

    WW3

I don't think they managed it then either. But they write history so they can say what they want. How long did it take the British public to get rid of Churchill after the war?
  15. That would go down well with today's mums don't you think. Piling a hale heap of kids into the back of an old transit van.

    Double WYOWYN

A sad end to that story ten caat min but I admit to laughing at the Wuillie Miller comment
  17. Awe, there you were, standing in the dark as a trailer load of kids disapeared into the distance. I bet you had your denner eaten before you got hame in time for breakfast.
  18. Be seen as child abuse now nae doubt
  19. Aye, folk skullin were generally full of themselves. Nae so cocky by the end of the day though as they tired. 2 blokes to 1 skull for the last few dreels Mind you, they were tipping them into a trailer being pulled by a tractor in my memory.
  20. It was me that said it wasn't worth the effort. Of course, being a bunch of northern snobs, they would never eat spaghetti in Bologna. So, you're ragu is more authentic than most.
  21. Looks nothing like any of my family members so I'm in.
