I guess there always have been bad guys , interested only in their own grab for wealth and power , in key positions , in all societies. Only...there are far more of them today. Yup manc , fresh is probably best but being on the lazy side I mostly buy mine in a jar and sprinkle on soups , stews and paella...turmeric is also what gives paella that lovely vibrant yellow colour. Certainly do , hilton... hivnae been in a Starbucks or Cafe Nero for months. Compared to yesterday there are many good coffee shops to choose from in the centre.

If you don't like your cappuccino or latte too milky , as I don't , then ask for a flat white , G_G. Occasionally I go for the Americano , without the milk. I have coffee every Saturday morning wi' a half-dizzen ither wrinkles and we all like our coffee in different flavours and strengths - cappuccinos , Americanos , espressos , flat whites , lattes. Some of them even like hot chocolate - now that is poovery ! It is not the different origin of the coffee bean we are talking here , ergo flavour(like whisky , beer or wine ) , it's the strength of the cup of coffee and the ratio of h2o to milk and preparation thereof. 'Vive la difference' but there are those who like to keep it simple by asking for 'black' or 'white'. This will ellicit further interrogation from your 'barrista'(like a barman , only in a coffee shop) because dedicated coffee shops offer more complexity or choice , if you will.
