His post didn’t fill me with great confidence. As long as it’s south of the border and at seasons end as a minimum, I’m ok with it.

Aye that did have ready to move on ring to it.

I would say his best bet is back to Europe. English game might be a bit too physical for him.

  2. As Rico said with Egypt and Ghana in Cape Verde’s group is unlikely they will be qualify. It’s top 2 and best 4 3rd place teams that go through. Last group game is scheduled for 22nd January so would guess Clyde and St Johnstone and possibly Hearts.

As an aside I love watching African Nations and really looking forward to it.

  3. Has to be a 4 at the back but with Rubi back from suspension expect Robson to keep the 3 with McDonald dropping out for Rubi. Hopefully McKenzie is fit and it wasn’t the BBC being full of shit and he can replace McGarry at wing back. Hopefully in Sokler and Miovski up front. I expect Dundee to provide a bigger challenge than a shite Livingston did however it’s Dens and we hardly ever lose there.

    2-1 Miovski and McGrath.

  4. Not a great game but two brilliant finishes by Miovski won the game. We did play better in second half once we went to a back 4 but overall made heavy going of beating a shite Livingston side who look doomed on this evidence which is no bad thing.

It was only a matter of time.

Steve Cooper punted by Notts Forest

He still seemed to have backing of their fans so guessing this is the owners decision. According to Guardian Nuno Espírito Santo will be announced tomorrow.

  6. Simply have to start winning games if we are to have any chance of catching Hearts. As Manc says above they will come to sit in and frustrate us and we will need to find a way of breaking them down. We definitely have the players to do that but not sure we have the Manager. Really hope we move away from 3/5 at the back and go to a 4. Definitely will be changes to line up as both Shinnie and Rubi are suspended. I would like to see Barron start in place of Shinnie but suspect Robson might go with Polvara beside Clarkson and McGrath.

    2-0 Miovski & Sokler.

  7. Only plan today seemed to be hang on for penalties and maybe sneak something off a punt up the park. When it was clear that wasn’t working the plan seemed to be to make like for like changes and continue with the original plan. No shots on target is a disgrace. Sad thing is the Tribute Act were shite as well. Adams wasn’t wrong with his comments on quality of Scottish football.

Need to hope players can lift themselves quickly as we need to be winning next 4 games if we are to have any chance of getting 3rd again.

He's still not there yet for me. A good squad player though, and glad we have players like him to call upon. He's a good passer of the ball, he's just a level below Clarkson there, not as good in behind the front two as McGrath and not aggressive enough, and athletic enough to cover Shinnie's role. If we don't start Sokler and Miovski tomorrow then I'd have him in from the start playing high up with McGrath in a 3-4-2-1. He's certainly got a role to play in many of our games and he'll almost certainly feature at some point tomorrow. If he doesn't start, then Robson should definitely give him the last few minutes when we're 3-0 up as a reward for his big improvement this season.

I am still not convinced by him. As you say he is behind Clarkson, McGrath and Shinnie and if Barron was not out of favour for contractual reasons I would have him ahead of Polvara as well.

  9. Hopefully Miovski is fit as think him playing is key to us having any chance of winning. Personally I would start with Miovski and Sokler from the start but can see Robson opting for an extra midfielder probably Polvara to start with. Big concern for me is left back/wing back. Don’t like McGarry defensively and just don’t think Hayes has the legs for playing wing back. Hopefully Tribute Act are knackered after their game on Thursday. Not going myself as previously stated not paying £39 to watch football in Scotland. It’s not worth it even for a final.

  10. Soklers finish was top drawer. I really think he and Miovski could form a great partnership if given time. Would definitely start both on Sunday.

However  just to temper things a bit Frankfurt seemed to be trying to walk the ball into the net and definitely treated it as a friendly.

  11. Picked up a couple of freebies tonight so going to head along. Assuming we will be putting out none of the players. Who will play on Sunday or that played last night. Expecting Frankfurt to put out a weakened side as well but to still beat us comfortably. Fair number of Frankfurt fans on the train up who don’t have tickets. Shame they can’t see the game as would have created an atmosphere and made us extra cash.
