Not trying to demean us in any way at all
Welcome To Firhell DonsMr Fixit
By Paul Jain
SCOTLAND'S big guns join the CIS Cup party this week - if you count Aberdeen and Dunfermline.

Is part of his role not to bring on our young defenders Diamond and Considine (and others) with his experience?
That being the case I'd rather see him stay a while yet.
I seem to remember Brewster being called slow and past-it.......and we were sad to see him go?
McNamara keeps getting skinned though, which is concerning.
Not seen him in an entire match so difficult for me to judge, but do you think he's giving 100% for whatever reason?
-
I am perfectly confident.
Previously I've said 2-1 for us, but now thinking 3 - 1!
Basically I winna get to see the game because "hersel" has thoughtfully invited people over for dinner tonight, so I'll have to be "sociable". This means, usually, our "game of the season"
FUCK IT! :hammer:

I wouldn't be surprised to see Byrne and Touzani on the bench...we get to name about 7 subs if I remember.
-
I'm still surprisingly upbeat about this one.
I can see a 2-1 win here followed by a dour 0-0 out there.
I think they'll underestimate us, and I also think all we're lacking is a bit of luck, bringing confidence with it, in front of goals.
If things actually ran for us in a game we could score 4,5 or more quite easily. Look how we went at Hibs.
-
Be interesting to see the Dons head off to somewhere like Australia. Decent level of opposition ... probably on a par with how the Dons are fairing at the moment. Don't think there'd be any walkovers for us, and likewise I don't think anyone is good enough to give us a royal horsing. The country actually has driving rules, unlike Egypt, and there's plenty of places for Jimmy to top up his tan. Might give the players some ideas on how to stay fit too, cos let's face it there ain't many country's around the world that have as high a "fit and healthy" population as Oz.
Plus it's just a hop and a skip from where I am ... good excuse to go on holiday!
@scuse me, but close season would be WINTER doon there?
OK prob still better weather than oor summer
-
Who's to say that with a decent run in a top class team (aye, right I hear you say ) Soutar might not develop into a top class keeper.
-
Met Willie once, would have been about 84 or 85.
Myself and a friend were down Pittodrie way, just passing the ground and Willie came out the main door. We both went "Hi Willie" and he actually stopped and had a couple of minutes chat with us in the street along the lines of
"How's it going lads.....going to the game this week.... what do you think our chances are....etc"
No need for him to stop or give us more than a wave back. Absolute gent.

Great!
Not content with getting injured in matches we're now crocking our own
-
Big fan of the black and gold. Probably something to do with my first ever Dons kit being the "change" strip (as it was called in them days) from 76, all gold with the four narrow black stripes doon the left hand side.
Never, ever saw anyone else with one!
-
For certain games there's a bit of methinks Ritchi "might" do well at the back. If we're up against some brutal clogging forward (Lee McCulloch, say, judging on Tuesday) I think he'd be immense, however against any small skillful pcacey forward I'd be sh*tting bricks!
-
Naw, surely Willie would step back into the hotseat?
-
They'll come together as a team and get it right next week against hearts.
Confidenty predicting a 2-0 victory, a Mair double
-
Do Hearts call them "managers" any more?
I would think Davie Irons will be first to go, temporary replacement, due to get fired in late Sept as Miles splashes the cash to get a "real" manager in after 8 straight losses
-
What's worth more?
Having Anderson help us achieve more next season, or a quickie £1M?
Let's whore our best player and captain for a quick buck and f*ck the future >
He's STILL UNDER CONTRACT so tell them english minks to GTF
-
Middlesborough have apparently made an INITIAL offer of £1M, according to ONE paper. d'ya think if it was a done deal the retard would't be gloating all over the back page?
Regardless, Anderson surely won't want to waste the opportunity of European football to play with a buch of w*nky never-has-beens?
-
So the SPL should have given you a phone to make sure the fixture calendar was to your liking should they?
YES, OF COURSE!
I meant a few hours for the majority of fans that travel to the games and not everyone in bumfuck nowhere.
I love you too
-
Is thon boy Henry not unsettled?
Season long loan, chance to play in Europe?
-
We'll get better players that WANT to come here.
Fik off you dutch w*nker
-
Remember that when we play Gretna we will actually be playing at Fir Park at not at Gretna!
The SPL is mostly made up of teams from the central belt, so no real surprise that we would have been going down there - and either ICT, Dundee Utd or ourselves would have to lose out, no matter how you arrange the fixtures.
Anyway, its only Scotland - the country is bloody tiny and only takes a few hours on the road to get where you need to be. Think if you had to travel hundreds of miles, or take flights just to follow your club team every other week!
A few hours. On the roads in this part of Scotland! That'll be right. And long trips in winter, snow, ice, rain anyone?
-
Naw.
He's had a "I'm not responsible for any drunken rants at the boss so you can't drop me because of that" clause
-
Nothing will happen until either Langfield or another squad member moves.
Jimmy has already said that there is no money left for wages until someone has moved on.
It's a non-starter until someone goes.
So they say.
Maybe JC has finally realised spouting cr*p about this, that and t'other player before we get them doesn't work so we're being "canny" this time
I syuspect a suitable candidate has been identified, is available for £0, is affordable and willing. Just waiting to dot the t's and cross the eyes.
We'll have a new keeper for August, one that's not been mentioned on any of the forums here or anywhere, and that none of us have heard of.
Will be the next Theo.......but not Dutch!

What a thing to admit.
That'd be like me saying I don't know how to add two numbers.........
