I was quite happy with most of our lads....Diamond, Byrne very good, Touzani, excellent.

Severin was still short of his best, and the only thing that saved Chrissy fucking Clark from a total raging at was the performance of the ref.

How was that a freekick for the second. Why was clangers booked for catching a ball that was jusrt out of play, but one of AM's lads got away with a dangerous over-the-ball attack on one of ours early in the second half. (Think it was JDV, not certain thoiugh) I'd expect that from an sPL OF ref, but in Europe???

We need competiton for places.

I mean REAL competiton, not just JC buying spare parts who'll only get a game if his "chosen few" are injured, but bona-fide first-team-ability players who are "in-form2 for more than 50mins a season.

A couple of real challengers up front and the "apparently" lazy shites might actually have to EARN some of their pay?

In an ideal world the players would be up 100% for every game.....however.......if you're all but guaranteed a game, why try?

Is it supposed to be that classic "Brown Girl in the Ring", about the only thing that come close to fitting it, but misses a bit towards the end.

I would think (hope?) so, was thinking much the same to myself earlier today. From what I hear/read it just seems like we gifted them a win with a pathetic display of defending, let's hope that it's out of the system now and won't re-appear in Madrid.

Funnily enough after yesterday I now think we can get a point there, win v Copenhagen and qualify.

I don't recall seeing it in games in Scotland until very recently, and even then only rarely......are we guilty of being too honest (or naive)?

This asking for a yellow card thing annoys me more to be honest, mainly because (as far as i know) refs are supposed to automatically book players who do that. Again, the lack of yellow cards indicated a weak ref for me.

Have you EVER seen a ref do that though? No, of course not, cos it's always players from "big" clubs from the "big" nations that do it and....well....UEFA doesn't want to upset them now.
