I suspect that was more down the the attempts to not tell everyone before the big game that we had that weekend. Or else my source is just shite, in which case they'll be getting told as much if McGhee is unveiled! I heard tonight he was a doubt, which if he was certain to be appointed on Thursday seems a bit strange.

I had a nightmare last night that Jefferies was appointed manager. I was so angry I stormed down to Pittodrie to return my season ticket and told them that I was very unimpressed! I was relieved to wake up.

I think I must have been getting confused with all the ifs, buts and maybes, as I thought we were playing on the 16th/23rd if Rangers won, and the beginning of July if Falkirk did. Which means even if I wanted to I can't go to the away leg. Better still be in Europe in September!

P&J suggests that is Rangers win the cup our first game is July 30th, and if Falkirk do it's July 16th. Are they wrong?

Is Derek McInnes not just Paterson 7 years ago (minus the getting promoted to the SPL bit)?

Bank holiday weekend, Sunday 1pm kick off perhaps had an effect on the numbers? The crowd looked bigger than 14k I'd have said, but Hibs definitely had a poor support. Bar Caley/Hearts at Christmas a couple of times, when else have we had attendances of 18k not against the OF? Not often I'd guess. And since 18k v. the OF is 14k Aberdeen fans, I'd suggest we did okay on Sunday. I know extremely little about Darren Ferguson's managerial career but the cynic in me believes that the vast majority of people calling for him think he's going to be great because of his father...
