  1. Surely we have to have a replacement lined up for Hart if we've known since before the Copenhagen game he's leaving and have now accepted an offer for him to leave now.
  2. I don't think people would cancel trips to Munich, if anything people might be more inclined to go as if our squad does go all tits up then it maybe another 5 years until we're back in Europe. There will very likely be a drop in home crowds, yes.
  3. Apparently there is a special press conference today, but it is set up to announce the plans for the 25th anniversary of Gothenburg.
  4. There wont be 6200 Aberdeen fans going, everyone will get a ticket. Seems AFC might be using some of the cash we'll be getting German TV(which will inconvenience most people if it is a 5 or 6pm kick off) to reward the traveling fans with a stress free time getting the away tickets.
  5. Didn't Ricksen say on his personal website that he intentionally tried to injure Darren Young? Clearly this was Maguire and he's stupid to deny it. He was having a laugh with one of his rangers supporting "m8's". Any harm done? No.
  6. Even with all of those players out, we can put out this side: Souter Foster Hart Mair Dan-Smith Jamie-Smith Touzani Nicholson Young Miller Lovell Bench wouldn't be nice reading though. Kelly Jon Smith Stuart Smith JDV Paton McVittie Kurrant? Also, I heard McVitie plays like a Penguin although he may also be out as he has problems with his Digestive system... Edit: Just noticed on RedWeb Hart is also out. So move Touzani back into defence and hope at least one of the "doubtful"s is fit.
  7. We're all reds you know... True fans...
  8. 1. Mizer 2. Glasgow Sheep (at last) 3. Chimp 4. Kowalski 5. Jimmy Jimmy +2 8. Edinburghdon + 2 11. Tenement Funster 12. Sheep #1 13. Disco 14. Stoner 15. Linds 16. Ecosse1 17. Stewart 18. Penfold
  9. Watched highlighs on Eurosport this morning. Was strange as they had just turned the BBC sound down (could still hear the commentators in the background) and had their own guy talking over. The highlights on the BBC website are much better.
  10. Indeed, don't see why it would be moved 2 weeks but thought I'd spread it here incase anyone was away to book and it turned out correct.
  11. K-9 on afc-hat has just said northsound have said it's moved to the 4th/5th March. Don't know if he's taking the piss but would hold off booking till it's confirmed.
  12. I'm wanting Everton, as am skint and all the cheap flights for everywhere will go before I get to book
  13. They're so upset about the situation at hearts that they feel the need to protest but will conveniently wait until they play the worst team in the league to "boycott" the match and not one of the 5 home games before then.
  14. Reminded me of that game at Livingston a few years back, although the score escapes me as I've attempted to erase it from my mind. Think the only thing I remember from that game is John Stewart running through on goal and the ball hitting his back, summing up the whole game. One of the worst performances under Jimmy, just hope Thursday provides the best.
  15. Tend to agree after games like that, although a new manager inevitably brings in a totally new side and we've not got a great track record with picking managers. Could go totally wrong so I'm pretty undecided. A lot will hinge on who signs new contracts and it will be interesting to see if Jimmy talks about a new deal and how long he gets if he gets a new deal.
  16. The Aberdeen v Copenhagen UEFA Cup game next Thursday is now officially SOLD OUT. There are no tickets left for sale.
  17. I expect Severin and Lovell to go, with most rumours linking them with United. The others I'd like to see stay. There's just not any other players I can see who would be interested in coming to us for the same sort of fee/wages who would be better or even at the same level. It's always a huge risk when you replace so many players each season.
  18. If a coach of AFC knows Hart has been offered better terms from Motherwell and Hibs then why is he not reporting it to the SFA? They can't talk to him till Jan and AFC would be stupid to give him permission to talk to other clubs while we're offering him a contract. I heard the 11 who start vs Motherwell are all leaving because Jimmy farted in their cars and in will be coming 11 players from the German lower leagues all called Gunthar
  19. Q's 1. Where do you travel from? 2. How do you get there/back? 3. What do you usually do before/after the game? 4. Preferred location? A's 1. Bridge Of Don 2. Car 3. Straight to ground 4. Don't care.
  20. Aluko was disappointing yesterday. Tried to do too much often and went wandering from time to time leaving our left side exposed. For their goal he was nowhere to be seen on the left hand side which left Clark attempting to close down 2 people as Foster had also been dragged inside marking someone. I compared him to Ferne Snoyl in a discussion at Brussels airport on the way to Madrid and was shot down, but have heard one or two others make this comparison too (good impact in first few matches then shite). The half time subs won the game for us. Not that Severin or Lovell changed the game themselves but moving Clark wide gave the side more balance and provided a bit more cover for Foster. Byrne looked alright and was certainly better than Mair. Hopefully a Byrne & Diamond partnership can be given a shot when Diamond returns. I liked the look of Mair in his first few games but he's been awful in the last few. Maguire wasn't rubbish but at the same time wasn't particularly good. Doesn't look like he'll be anything special but at times reminds me of Mackie when he first came into the side so who knows if he'll become a regular Miller had another good game and probably deserved his Man of the Match award, though picking a MotM from that game can't have been easy.
  21. The game against Motherwell is massive now. A win and we're in with a good chance of staying up with that pack but lose and we give them the chance to move away from us again. Hibernian v Falkirk Kilmarnock v Gretna Motherwell v Aberdeen Rangers v Hearts St Mirren v Dundee Utd Inverness v Celtic Most games could go either way. Falkirk doing well and St Mirren coming off the back of that point yesterday.
  22. Seems I might have been mistaken. Heard from some people that they will be in the Main stand but there will still be a fair amount of them coming over.
