  1. Sadly, it is true though
  2. I'm sure I read somewhere that McInnes wasn't that fussed after we weren't challenging anymore and chose to play more youth. It's not something I really recall though We can't afford to do that this time or we'll end up third
  3. Jack is incredibly frustrating but I think some of that is down to his captaincy, he just isn't one. He is however, on his day, a brilliant player and one I think we'll look back at with fondness in the future. Storie still has a lot to learn.
  4. Agreed! Loathsome bastard
  5. Agreed. Just doesn't offer enough. Yes he's scored a goal here and there but frankly, you put a tree trunk in those positions and it'll score those goals. The DG point is an interesting one, I think we would have done the trick, though that's easy enough to say when we've not had him for a few months.
  6. McGinn was far from the worst offender yesterday, yes he should have converted two of those chances but he was getting into these positions that church wasn't. I think it was bobby who mentioned it that it seems to have changed the way we've set up. Church did fuck all after scoring and constant crosses in were just being swept up. The game was there to be won yesterday and we failed to capitalise on it. Massively disappointing. Hearts tactics shouldn't have surprised us, but we looked like a rabbit in headlights after they equalised. Poor. Very poor.
  7. Ffs. After the first 20 mins alone we should have won it. They didn't, they bottled it. Shite. Fucking. Shite.
  8. Seemed to be scoring a fair few before his injury
  9. Haha that's not a bad shout actually. Will give it a go!
  10. Hadn't realised it was McLean who was refereeing the game, that's a bit of a disappointment but to be honest, the quality of the officials is shocking so it barely makes a difference. From reading a few of the articles in the papers, it sounds like the boys are fired up. I have no doubt McInnes will have them pumped for this. Getting nervous already...
  11. I see we've taken on some non league player from England on trial with a view to play in the development league. Presumably to replace nuttal? What ever happened to him?
  12. What surprise, hearts have a fully fit squad to choose for tomorrow. Mind games worked once but not again.
  13. If Carlsberg did a championship run in, that would be it. Would love it.
  14. So, Friday really is a big one. Win this and who knows what will happen. Deek clearly has the players fired up but I hope they don't get overawed by what will in all likelihood be an even more fiery home crowd than normal. We've sold out our allocation, so they'll be plenty of support and let's hope we can see a performance like we did at the start of the season! Will actually be in Aberdeen for the game, typical really that they're away when i'm there but hey ho. I'd be tempted to change nothing in terms of line-up because if Shinnie is played at left back, the rest of the team generally pick themselves. wonder if he'll go for Flood or Storie though. In / out: Out Pre matcher: ED's place Match: The stag Post matcher: Hopefully celebrating and manage to not miss the last train... Prediction: 2-1 Dons, Church and Hayes
  15. Haven't watched one race so far and i'm not particularly sad about that fact either. Can't see myself tuning in at all.
  16. Tonight on BT sport - Football Outposts - When they were Giants http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/d4jhmt/bt-sport-films--episode-33-football-outposts-when-they-were-giants
  17. Caley - hearts called off because of a virus...now the cynic in me....
  18. Church had quite a few chances where he got into the right positions but couldn't finish. If he was happy to sit on the bench (which is where the problem is I think), i'd be ok with him staying. No-one can argue with the goals he's scored.
  19. Of the two I think i'd rather have McGovern. I've been impressed that he's actually managed to keep scorelines generally respectable despite playing in a rank rotten team. He kept that game from being a very high scoring game yesterday.
  20. The fallout should be exciting
  21. Thought storie looked good when he came on, some very tidy passing

  23. Im sure he appears elsewhere in this, but i cannot stand his commentary.
  24. Aye, I wondered that too. Weather wasn't even bad, but that figure came from the official club site so god knows what happened to those 1,500 who didn't show.
  25. Believe the commentators said it was a thigh strain. I thought Reynolds had his best game in years. Yes I know Hamilton were gash but he lead the line well hopefully this will do his confidence the world of good. Also, brown didn't have much to do but what he did do was excellent. Agree regarding the score, could and should have been at least 5-0. Jack impressed me too. Really hope we build on this and take the game to hearts on Friday.
