Its not as black and white as 'damned if he does.......'. If a spokesman for the club is making public statements about their apparent willingness to sell players then it reduces the price. Its simple rules of engagement when it comes to negotiating. If you have ever had any training in negotiation then you would be aware that you never discuss your willingness to trade before any sort of discussions have began.

Its ironic that JC promotes a Dutch style football where players must offer dynamicism and flexibility in their skill set while he brings in Dutch players like JDV who have very little versatility and so therefor find themselves on the fringes for most games. Seems pretty obvious what has happened here. Fuel bills are rocketing for everyone at the moment so you can bet that diddy clubs like Killie and Motherwell who can barely muster up 5,000 fans a week are going to avoid turning on the heating as often as possible. So when there is a minor drop in temperature they will have taken a risk and not bothered with the heating or at best turned it on low power to save £. Pity they have given no consideration for the fans who have spent money they can ill afford.
