  1. Decent contribution from ZD and Charlie. Poor striking performance although was Hearts top scorer not a midfielder with 6 (Aguiar), now that is poor
  2. Maguire on the bench due to illness. Mair and Foster as CB pairing Aluko up front with Miller
  3. The fire sale continues.
  4. Setanta on the box, BBC Radio Scotland blaring and DT live chat for me COYR :ultras: :ultras:
  5. Just need Aguira and Driver to go and they will be all but cooked for next season.
  6. 'lynched to death' is a dreadful piece of writing. If this is representative of your standards then I'd consider pulling more of the book that just that section. Best wishes, Ajja
  7. This just caps off a messy season beautifully.
  8. Boozing culture possibly ? As much as I hate to connect the two, Calderwoods management style seems more focused on a 'lads together' culture than professionalism and discipline.
  9. I laughed my........na, just too easy that one.
  10. We might just have blown Sundays game now. Fucking idiots.
  11. When does the campaign start for an area of terracing to be provided so we can get all the nutters in one cauldron of hate and noise to welcome our visiting fans
  12. What is the TV coverage of the last day ? Have Sky got it all or are Satanta in the mix ? I'm assuming no BBC or ITV involvement.
  13. Now to get Thomas to build a train track.
  14. Had a chuckle at this. If there is ever any silver lining to the Orcs winning the title it is this.
  15. I heard a report on BBC saying Mulgrews card would be rescinded. Obviously not fact if the panel has not met but they were pretty certain about it.
  16. Rangers: They have the title in their graps, it doesn't matter what Celtic do they just have to win (unlike last year where I don't think they believed Celtic would drop points). They will push UTD aside comfortably because their supporters will not accept them losing the title at this stage. 2-0 win Aberdeen: Hibs have played well in the top 6 but the last game of the season is always a pretty dull affair for a team with little to play for. Their minds will be on holidays and fighting on Lothian Road. Hibs will not sit deep and try to counter attack us, they will relax and try to play football to see out the season on a high. Our recent problems at Pittodrie have been because teams have sat in and defended and we are shit at breaking them down. We will benefit from an open game. As Calderwood says, this is the last go at Europe. We can piss away chance after chance in the league, we can fuck up against inferior opposition in the cup but there is always another opportunity, particularly this season with so many other sides being poor. However, this is it. No more chances. A cup final. A 'Copenhagen' if you like. Last few years we have handed out some destructive performances on the final day against better opposition that Hibs and teams with something to play for. 3-0 win. Job done, dust out the passports. :ultras:
  17. Unfortunately the 'value' of a player is not absolute. The financial and management strength of the club they are signed with has a large amount to do with it. Our management won't put him on a long term contract so he will always be one or two seasons away from his contract end and therefor vulnerable to poaching. Clubs will also know what we would accept for a player and so will bid accordingly. Put Megan Fox in a high class 'escort agency' and you will pay top dollar to fuck her. Put her on the streets of Montrose and you aren't gonna shell out much more than £30 for a pop.
  18. He may not even be playing for us by then. The way he is going, Celtic will be trying to rob him any day soon.
  19. I was there too. I am old. I wore a sun hat and drank Becks and cheered the Dandies to victory. I even hugged fatjim.

    Tonights tipple

    I'm coking it tonight. SNIIIFFFFF.
  21. Was just thinking tonight that for the last two seasons we have gubbed the scum at the end of the campaign. Two years ago we nailed them to clinch Europe and last season it was to stop them from winning the league. If other results went a certain way this weekend (ie Hearts thump UTD and Celtic beat Hibs) then we could win at Ibrox and be in a great position for Europe AND lose them the league. It would also be nice to make sure of that before UTD get the chance next week. I almost wet myself just typing that. COYR :ultras:
  22. In a fantasy land where all the choices are ours then no. In reality then I guess we have to assess our players on the basis of alternatives. We have to match up things like costs, value and ROI on a case-by-case basis and assemble whatever we can in the circumstances. For the record, I wasn't advocating signing Mair. I was only pointing out that I thought the club could be doing the right thing by holding off on his deal.
  23. I feel this game could go any way, we are very unpredictable in these circumstances. Realistically, I think a draw is the best we can hope for but suspect a comfortable win for the hun is on the cards.
  24. My point was that possibly they are not sure how much they can bend him over and fuck him rather than whether they can keep him or not. I thought the article suggested that he had said he was happy to stay and that the club would offer him a deal at the end of the season. That says nothing of not knowing whether they can afford to keep him. The article (and it is only that of course) only calls into question the amount they are willing to offer not that they are willing to offer at all.
  25. If we are going to offer him a reduced deal and the level of reduction is dependant on revenues realised from the season end is it not a sensible and appropriate move to delay. I doubt there is much risk of us having Mair snatched from under our noses.
