  1. I'd disagree with that. The threat level diminished the longer he went without doing anything. for someone who's supposedly a freekick expert to only score 3 (plus 1 in open play) isn't much of a threat. The threat was all in our heads most of this season, probably because of his freekick form last season. Other than kerr, mulgrew is the player i'm most keen to have off our wage bill.
  2. Best Game/Result - jambo bawbags 0-3 Aberdeen Worst Game/Result - Aberdeen 0 - 3 Motherwell Player of the season - Foster by a baw hair ahead of the goal posts Young player of the season - Fyvie Worst/most disappointing performer of the season - Kerr Highlight of the season - Aberdeen 1 - 0 huns Low point of the season - the most recent one Confidence for next season (on a scale from 1 to 10) - 2
  3. I'd be surprised if Marshall stays but surprised if they other two leave.
  4. To be honest I'd rather see a target man (preferably not Kyle but if needs must), but I definately don't want to spunk our wage budget away on strikers if it is at the expense of the defense or the midfield. I'd be happy seeing Paton and Mogwaii up front together at least until christmas if we managed to do something about the quality of service up to them, the midfield stopper and the 2 or more defenders we desperately need.
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHd_EaMe-qU edit - actually don't think that even goes in at the end!! I'll leave it anyway as it makes me lol
  6. Fair enough if you meant 'good' as in, good compared to the rest of the season. If you meant 'good' as in, a decent standard of footie and entertainment, I'd have to disagree. I thought it was pesh.
  7. I don't mind the idea of playing Nelson (even in all the remaining games) to see if he's worth keeping, same reason as I want to see youngsters. I just got the impression from the lack of mention of it by Mcghee pre-match, while explaining all the other changes, it seemed to tie in with the falling out/punting langfield story. That would worry me because I don't see Nelson, or anyone we could afford being good enough for 1st team.
  8. Like espn are saying, defence gave nelson no help for the goal, but he didn't exactly palm it away to safety. i'm not overly impressed considering that was all he had to do today and he also got away with a couple of rash decisions to come into no man's land in the 1st half. i'm really getting worried about the continuing weakening of the team by replacing our players with worse than we had.
  9. We know he's capable though. Nelson looks just as likely to drop a clanger but without the shot stoppin attributes. Aluko's made more saves than him today.
  10. Pre match interview had mcghee saying all changes were enforced but made no mention of Clangers. Doubt we'll see him play for us again. Fuckin joke.
  11. canny beat a good bit of in your endo eh?
  12. First of my finals on monday so a weekend of despairing over my lack of preparation.
  13. FUCK. SAKE. Stuck in the library, I gave up looking for a stream for the Inter v Barca game and am listening to a commentary that appears to just be someone watching a game of footie manager. He said inter had scored but the crowd were still singing away in a non-plussed, nothing happening kinda way. Then there was 3 seconds of "YAAAAAAAY" before the crowd went back to the casual singing. Typical BBC are doing commentary of a lower league english game instead of the fucking champ league semi final. CUNTS.
  14. cheers nellie. I'd left out what happens if falkirk beat the winner of mirren v killie but lose to the team that lose it. When you look at those results it's not unrealistic that it could happen. It doesn't involve any 5-0 results. I'm pissed off that the journalism is so mickey mouse. If it was epl it would've been calculated and broadcast over and over on ss news. Also slightly worrying that our own fucking manager hadn't done the maths.
  15. We lose all remaining games, finish on 37 pts. St Mirren and Killie lose to falkirk but beat everyone else, both have 35 pts excluding playing each other. Therefore, either one has 38 and the other 35, or both 36 after playing each other. Falkirk beat everyone they play, finish on 40 pts and killie or st mirren can't better 36 (or 38 and 35). If falkirk draw with the loser of killie v st mirren then falkirk finish on 38, the winner of killie v st mirren finish on 38 and the loser (who draw with falkirk) finish on 36. If Falkirk draw with BOTH killie and st mirren then falkirk can only reach 36pts. So whatever happens we can't finish bottom.
  16. YOOF!!! Anyone who thinks the extra money would actually make its way into the the playing budget or make any dent in the debt hasn't been paying attention for the last umpteen seasons. The most the money could possibly achieve would be in going towards compensation for those we get rid of.
  17. In the days of Senna, Mansell etc, it used to be that indy car was a pathetic joke compared to f1. Now though I fully agree that indy car is far more entertaining. They haven't really changed anything it's just that f1 has taken about 20 steps backwards from where it used to be.
  18. I said in chat - as we're safe now I'd be disgusted if I ever see Kerr and the others who won't be here next season ever wearing the shirt again. Grimmer and Fyvie in midfield and don't even have kerr on the bench.
  19. It amuses me that McDonald's bar is almost invisible! How appropriate.
  20. I think we're all missing the real issue here... ...Hertz and the Huns may be about to finally implode! yaassssssss!!!!!! (or us)
  21. fantastic finish yes but no way should anyone be beaten head-height in the middle of the goals. Figueroa's freekick for gos i reckon.
  22. After a season of increasing apathy, the chance of the fans responding to a plea to give a rousing performance is slim. The fans have asked the same thing from the players nearly 3 dozen times and generally got fuck all back. We all support AFC but there are almost none of the people officially involved with the club, players, coaches, board, who many of us are satisfied with. It's hard to show encouragement to people you no longer believe in. Having said that, if I could go, I would, but even if I started off with the best, supportive intentions, it's only the performance on the pitch that would make me keep it up, as opposed to just staring on dazed with a sinking feeling in my gut. I do not expect a vast improvement in atmosphere. Without the performance, all the noise will end up being is the Starks Park type of baying mania. In fact, fuck AFC for implying that the fans have anything to do with improving or otherwise the team's spirit, passion and results! I understand Denis Law coming out and urging us to get behind the team but that should be tabloid fodder. The fact that it's on the club website is an insult imo. It's putting the cart before the horse. The team is shit because the team is shit. The fans are quiet because THE TEAM IS SHIT. They had our noisy support before and they were still fucking shit.
  23. I'm curious though, who do you think will be relegated...?
  24. Graham Spiers in 'Getting paid handsomely for repeating what's been said time and again' shocker.
  25. Even a draw would likely be enough to keep us up, unless StJ and Hamilton both lose a couple. But we look very capable of losing all 5. If so the 3 below us only need to win 1 other game for it to be down to goal difference.
