The fans demand signings and if he kept his mouth shut all of the time about potential targets the fans would grow restless and you'd get the "FFS We're nae signing any cunt!" and if he does mention targets he gets slaughtered for other clubs coming in for them. What can he do? We're even more skint than we were during the Calderwood era and even he had a shoe string budget. I agree with that but if we didn't have Zander last season where would we have ended up? Not 4th. Bare in mind that as well as being reletively shite Mair was also injured for a fair amount of time. I think we would really have noticed Zander's absence last season. I agree that better have left. Absolutely. But He's now the best defender we have by quite some way.
