The sun were reporting that the bid from motherwell was around £50,000 and that Aberdeen were set to miss out on Hammell due to their "refusal to pay transfer fees, despite taking in £300,000 in the transfer window" Apparantly Motherwell are also tracking Simon Lappin, i hope he is on Calderwoods radar as well, always seemed like a pretty good player

For what its worth the article about Hammell in the sun mentions that Aberdeen are also tracking him, although he is thought to favour a return to motherwell

This is utterly shocking treatment of Lovell, fair enough he didnt play well on saturday by any stretch of the imagination but a public slagging like that is simply unprofessional. This reeks of calderwood blaming anything but his own tactics here, blaming the whole match on the performance of one player who it is becoming clear - is not a calderwood favourite. Lovell has shown (in flashes) what a player he is, but since its looking inevitable he will be off by the end of the month i'm fully expecting him to be replaced by dross of the dobie caliber - depressing I'm not wanting to spark another calderwood debate but he sure has gone down in my estimations these last few weeks

Ok whilst i agree with the thoughts on duff's ability being little or non existant did he not play pretty well last season as a link man between the midfield and strikers? or am i imagining that?

Surely it would be worth enquiring at least! the story in the sun was about WBA looking to bid 100k in order to sign him in the january window, im sure we could afford to match that if clark goes! Seems an ideal replacement anyway, bit of creativity, an eye for a pass, skillful. basically everything our midfield isnt!
