  1. Ifil was quoted as being one of the highest paid players when he signed
  2. My huge problem with McGhee and the team is that we're so easy to beat - we have no organisation, no fight and no creativity, we're just a team of toiling individuals. I have seen absolutely no signs of encouragement that things can improve next season. Sad to say it but its time for McGhee to go and give someone else a chance, otherwise we could easily be playing 1st division fitba next season.
  3. Yip, this season has been so feckin depressing
  4. Never seen him play but has obviously made an impact on the history of the club Hope the club do something to honour his memory on Sunday
  5. In/oot: In prematch: Bed Match: Lower dick Postmatch: nuthin much but maybe wine, pizza and the masters later on Prediction: 2-0 the dandies, keep telling myself things have to improve eventually
  6. Aye, for me - t'is always a nice day out
  7. That whole interview just kinda depresses me
  8. Good news that we're blooding youngsters I suppose, the only slightly brightish spot of an absolutely horrendous season Never mind, in McGhee we trust and all that shyte
  9. We need someone to motivate and organise the team so we win more games that lose with the money at his disposal, at present showing I doubt that man is McGhee.
  10. The Doors - Hello, I love you
  11. RoccoVellhung, in my 30's for a little while longer and bide just doon the road from Somerfield (although I think its gradually becoming a Co-op now, which isnae so good as they don't appear to have as much offers on the red wine.....saying that they do have a well tasty Rioja for just under a fiver so not all bad )
  12. Looks like Mowbray is a goner like Fair play to the tinks though, they've reacted just now in the hope that the new incumbent can come in and improve things for next season, whilst we gulp down a large dose of blind faith and sit and wait and hope that things will improve.
  13. He's already part of the worst winless run in our history, Saturday would just be setting a new record. EDIT, hud on, just re-read the story, thought we had already equalled the worst run against United???, but the EE saying we're now 2 games shy of equalling it? Come on McGhee fire those boys up, I want this to be a record breaking season!!!!
  14. Agree, but what happens now? we do nothing and hope that we don't get relegated next season? Everybody knows that Milne isn't going to suddenly spend serious money therefore we're pretty much stuck with the players we have (the majority being part of the team that finished 4th last season) Therefore we need a manager who can get more from the players at our disposal and set us up to concede less and score more and get some decent points on the table, is McGhee capable of that? he hasn't shown it so far.
  15. I'm all for giving McGhee time as long as I can at least see some light at the end of the tunnel, however at this moment in time we're firmly in freefall. My concerns are that we give McGhee another transfer window and we ultimately end up battling relegation with a team full of his Grassi or Ifilesque players
  16. Nicholson was bought in JC's third transfer window
  17. Just wondering but how much did Calderwood have to spend compared to McGhee on his first and 2nd transfer windows? pretty sure he never spent any transfer fee's
  18. Exactly, Pa Broon has shown what can be achieved with a decent manager at the helm. Obviously I'm nae saying that 99 year old Pa Broon is in fact the answer to our problems, just that there must be someone better out there.
  19. Are attendances really dropping though, in comparison with say 10 - 15 years ago?, I know our crowds are shyte just now but thats cause we're languishing in 8th, however last year wasn't too bad despite the global meltdown, and the few years prior to that werenae too shabby either.
  20. Motherwell going great guns and Pa Broon doing a superb job so far. Kinda blows oor 'season of transition' excuses oot the water considering they've bought more or less a new team and are on their second manager this season.
  21. Yip, Kerr has become the latest AFC scapegoat for all of lifes ills. IMO he was a decent player last season but appears to be struggling with either the captaincy or the formation / tactics that we're playing (and losing with) this season, I'd suggest we find a new captain, change how the team are set-up and find a decent creative midfielder to play alongside Kerr. Problem solved
  22. Yip, these are pretty bad times and I cannae really see how its going to improve.
