  1. A new deal?! Fuck me. I've been away a week, and come back to a new deal for that cunt. Jesus Hercules Christ. Are there no cheap, decent keepers kicking about in these new EU countries (like Romania, Poland, Bulgaria etc) that could come in and do the job? What about that Polish lad Donday United picked up? He seemed to be good from what i'd heard, and didn't exactly cost a bomb. Of course, that would require scouting, and somebody sacked all them to do the job himself.
  2. Leaving aside all the "does he want to play for us" stuff (my opinions on that matter being quite clear, and highly unlikely to be taken into account by JC), Soutar hasn't made any obvious cock ups this season, so it would be extremely harsh to drop him. How many times did Langfield make a total arse of an innocuous situation last season? How close was he ever to being dropped? If he were to play tonight, it would reek horribly of favouritism from Jimmy and would be extra harsh on Soutar who, it would be fair to say, hasn't done anything to merit getting shoved to the bench.
  3. Aye, Beeb1 at 8 pm. A whole 5 minutes of in depth analysis before the 8.05 KO. I also saw somewhere the return will be screened on BBC2...
  4. I read somewhere he had been promised 45 minutes against Motherwell, but then didn't get on at all, thus bringing about his unhappiness. Problem is, i can see him playing tonight, and he'll obviously be far from match fit, so why didn't he get a chance vs Well at the expense of Mackie? Same goes for Aluko (although i've heard he's picked up a knock now anyway).
  5. Absofuckinglutely. Dunno about the losing the dressng room bit, but Langfield can away and shite as far as i'm concerned.
  6. We have very hard calendar. After Aberdeen we play with Shakhter on Sunday. You yesterday saw force of Shakhter. The match with them is not less important. On September, 12th we meet the Dynamo Kiev in the Cup of Ukraine. Therefore I shall make the assumption, that Dnepr will construct game on counterattacks. In any case all will be solved in Dnepropetrovsk. Our manager is already talking about how he would be pleased with a 0-0 draw. In my experience, that usually means he is going to defend constantly for the whole game. Sadly, we don't really have a defence capable of doing that just now.
  7. Also, you'd better hope your right midfielder is not the grandmother of our left back Byrne, as he'll kick her.
  8. Yip. I reckon a far from match fit Touzani will make his first start of the season on Thursday. Was he not signed on the basis of his style being better for Europe than the SPL? If he's worth a deal, play him. If he's not, don't sign him on a 2 year deal. It does neither us nor the player any good to be hanging around taking a wage for no return. I also reckon we'll start with an as yet untried (this season) back 3 on Thursday night. I hope i'm wrong.
  9. I'm glad he isn't happy. It means he's seen just how utterly hopeless our team is, and thinks he's being shafted when he can't even get on ahead of any of that feckless lot.
  10. In the words of Amy Winehouse, no no no.
  11. I don't think Souter's been too bad so far. Certainly not been the horrific liability i had him pegged as. Langfield can get as far tae fuck as the money in the rest of his contract can take him. He doesn't want to play for us and he is shite. There's 2 very good reasons for him never playing for us again. On another board, someone said Hakan Opdal (Norwegian international squad keeper) is out of contract in December. We should at least ask about him. He's probably too professional and doesn't have enough of a practical joke repertoire to play for us though. Fuck, i'd have Robbie Winters in goal ahead of Langfield, and probably would have done so from the day he signed for us.
  12. If it's the flight via Amsterdam, he'll probably stop off for a chat with some of his "big mates" about how he's in Europe this season, or to see his son and find out if he knows of any more amateurs we can chase fruitlessly for a couple of months. We'll also be lucky if he gets through Schiphol with the no doubt hoardes of screaming autograph hunters after him.
  13. If it's "thinking about Thursday-itis" as you suggest, Doricle, then get them all to fuck. They should be making sure they can't be dropped for Thursday by putting in a performance, not saving themselves for the game as they know they won't get dropped. Fuck, imagine if Dung gets to start that one as well...
  14. I don't think we're playing too differently to how we've played the last 2/3 years under Jimmy. The thing is, we're neither as fit nor as lucky as we have been in that time. All those games where we've nicked something in spite of some curious (i'm being kind) tactical decisions, due to our superior fitness/downright luck, we're getting nothing from anymore.
  15. Seriously?! He's actually going to do some scouting? Not some minion? Not get a video sent over? Fuck my hat!
  16. That, almost word for word, was what i came online to say. I would also add that i thought Diamond played well and at least looked like he gave a shite. Derek Young shouldn't be anywhere near a football pitch in the SPL. There's a very good reason we didn't have to beat off lots of competition to sign him. Two fuck ups, two goals against. Him and Foster couldn't decide between them who they were marking at the first, and Dung's man was left completely free to set himself up for the shot on the edge of the box. For the second, an absolutely awful attempt at a clearance let them in for another long ranger. Also, too many players seem to think they've made "it". It's Aberdeen Syndrome. One good season, where something is achieved, and it's time to rest on their laurels. That approach did for Ebbe and Aitken before him, and it might end up doing for Jimmy unless he gets some arses kicked.
  17. Hignett never even got to see his house finished, such was the speed of his return down south. My ex lived out there, and i think it was Scotty Booth that eother bought hignett's or built one right beside it. Forgot to look up Jackie Mac's address at work yesterday, but i'm still pretty sure this rumour's pish.
  18. I work in a place where i can find that out, now that i think about it. I'm going to see whereabouts Jackie does live tomorrow.
  19. Exactly Drew. I've little doubt we'll lose somebody over the January window. After all, Aluko's deal runs out then. Anyway, the amount of folk out of contract means we'll probably lose one on a pre contract (i hope it's Byrne...), and Clangfield'll be offered to anyone who wants him.
  20. Forgive my scepticism, but Wolverhampton's hardly down Costorphine Road, and i do think Aberdeen's a good bit closer. It's not like he'd never been here before he signed. I'm prepared to be proved badly wrong, but i'm going to file this under P, for Pish.
  21. Hmmm... With the lack of a transfer window system in the English lower leagues (or has that been stopped?), i think he'll be at a Championship team before we could even think about getting anywhere near him.
  22. Did he not survive a plane crash where most of his international team were killed? Then to be got by cancer - what an absolute bastard that is. R.I.P.
  23. I would happily welcome seeing that particular headline again.
  24. True, but the first time they were in the Second Division. Don't remember that one I have to say but perhaps you can refresh my memory Edit: You are talking about the 0-1 game after a replay. Was it even a replay? I vaguely remember John Robertson scoring for them against us at Pittodrie, and think it was that game, but i'm sure it was a first time of asking job...
  25. Interestingly enough, any time i see something linking JC with Leicester (or otherwise), it's been in the Daily Record, or the source quoted is the Daily Record. Now, does he still write a weekly column for them? Strange that they have all this "information". Personally, i think it was all smoke and mirrors designed to howk up his market value come contract review time.
