You can when the council has to contribute £90m and maybe more if it runs over the estimated cost. If Wood was paying for it all there would be a mandate to do it however with the £90m cost to the council it should really be up the council if it is a viable project and not the people.

A lot of the money goes to pay for full time athletes though not really the sport. I'd much prefer the government to come out with a statement saying they were going to stop funding the elite athletes and have no state sponsored full time athletes. Instead the money would go to getting the people more active and doing sports and team GB would be full of deserving amateurs like it used to be.

For what reason though? Scotland and Wales would certainly be dead against and its not like the four countries together would make a difference compared to the current English team.

I didn't like the dark knight rises too much. Too many characters with the plot line jumping around and never really focusing on any of them. What was the point in having cat women and the other women? One would have been enough. It was too long and in the first hour almost nothing happens. I am all for slow build ups and all that but it was just a bit dull imo. I also struggled to hear the things Bane was saying. The worst thing about was the ending though. Just stupid.
