  1. One thing I do find interesting is Mcinnes, to the best of my knowledge anyway, has yet to be asked it about it by the media.  And you would think they would have by now after the warnock debacle.  I can't help but wonder if he has instructed journalists before any interview not to ask him about it. If that is the case (and of course that is nothing but speculation) then it would possibly suggest an interest in coming back.

I'm normally never go back but I would be happy to make an exception in this case.  With hindsight I feel he was a bit hard done by previously.  It had absolutely gone very stale by the end of his tenure but I think a big reason for that now is that cormack kept the purse strings tight as he wanted to bring in his own man.  I can't be the only person on here that has wondered what Mcinnes could have done with such an increased wage budget that every manager since has enjoyed.

How would everyone feel if it was DM once again?

Pinches of salt at the ready…

”Apparently Stewart Milne told a guy I do work for at a corporate golf day yesterday McInnes is coming back as manager but wants to wait till the international break to do it. Interviews this week are a smoke screen just sorting a compensation package”

I would snap your hand off for Mcinnes back right now

Reading that Steve Tosh tosh on Twitter, I saw Uwe Rosler mentioned which could be a good shout. Currently with AGF in Denmark, got them to 3rd in their league last season.

Bit of a patchy history in the English leagues but generally seems to get his teams punching at their weight, if not slightly above, which is what we need pretty much.

Re. Michael O’Neil, isn’t he a renowned prolific alcoholic?

I heard Macintyre quiz him about it on the radio when he was first in charge of Ni and after he had turned down Scotland.  He obviously denied it but fwiw I found him reasonably convincing at the time.  I don't think you can get away with being an alcholic manager these days 2bh, there's too much scrutiny on you.

Delighted Warnock is gone. Think he has been a disaster and have a suspicion that todays improved performance was on the back of players knowing he was gone.

Loads of rumours circulating on line suggest Panda and Rico have been busy. Hope whoever it is comes in by international break.

Aye, I was pleased with the win and then the day got even better.  I honestly never want to hear the phrase "are you with me?" ever again.

The holiday maker departing and the surprisingly convincing win over Killie aside what an absolute clusterfuck of a position the club has got itself into.  He was supposed to be here till the end of the season but now apparently he's been telling them for ages they need to get someone else in beforehand.  I'm calling bullshit on that.  I think he found out the club were planning to replace him earlier than he expected and he's decided to go on his terms instead.  I can respect that 2bf.

    Warnock gone.

It’s going to be Lennon isn’t it? 🤮

I'm fervently praying it was relevant we played Killie today but I suspect you're probably correct.

Give it a rest man, you’ve made your dislike clear on warnock endlessly.
we are shit now and were shit before warnock. It’s clear he didn’t know the players coming in and think expectations on him from above aren’t high. The season has been written off and it’s now rebuild the team, back room, and footballing side of things.

Massive failure on the recruitment side of things this year, and really over the last two at least. You can’t make massive changes in tactics and personnel right now, you can only piss with the cock you are given. the timing of Robson leaving was really poor too, the January window was a huge disaster. I dont blame cormack, I blame our director of football or whatever he’s called. The overseeing of footballing matters has been rotten.

were poor in the air at the back, cost us the first goal, missing ruby or even Macdonald. What the fuck is the story with Macdonald? I also don’t see gartenmann as a central defender. From what I see we do not have a team willing to fight for the cause, too soft and the fire/passion isn’t in this team. Warnock himself said it’s only really shinnie with that and that’s a massive failure on building a team/squad.

    1.  I wasn't talking to you droppy.
    2. Swing and a miss! I didn't actually say anything negative about Warnock, I merely offered my opinion that what we were seeing was fairly standard fare for teams managed by him to one of the other adults in the room.
    3.  Why don't you give it a rest?  I'm sure I can't be the only poster on here that is long fed up of your empty drum makes the most noise happy clapper shite.

I agree, you can't force a manager not to pick players, but there are only two possible scenarios here. The first is that Warnock hasn't done any homework on the Dons at all, or he'd have known that his setup of players out of position (Morris massively, MacKenzie also and I'd argue Devlin) wouldn't work. That lineup was a sign of someone absolutely ignorant to our entire season, there is no other explanation. He strikes me as the type that would be obnoxious enough to suggest that everything up until now was the other guy's failings, and nothing to be learned. If he has done his homework, then he's just not very good at reading games of football. The second is that Warnock hasn't done his homework, because he's not been in the door long enough (or he doesn't feel it's a worthwhile exercise like above). In that case, it takes a spectacularly ignorant human not to ask the people around you at the club what has worked and failed and exactly why. My opinion is that he'll have asked Leven for a good overview of what works. He's either not listened to any of that and done his own thing, or Leven and others at the club are absolutely clueless, or frightened to give an opinion. Either way, it lacked professionalism and they certainly got the message from the fans last night.

I think this sums up what my issue was with signing Warnock until the end of season. He's here for a really short time with zero experience of the game. Nobody who has been watching Scottish football this season would have made those errors last night. Similarly @tlg1903's point about Warnock being here on a jolly absolutely rang true. He's clearly either not done the work required, or deferred that authority to someone else until he gets up to speed. It was a completely unprofessional performance.

There is absolutely no credit due for the early changes either (Robson wouldn't have had us three down, we'd have to go back to Goodwin versus Hibs for anything like last night). It maybe wasn't clear on red TV, but the hostility at the ground was immense (there was fighting in the RDS, but that was down to a Motherwell fan in corporate). It was probably the most toxic I've seen it since losing to the Hun in that game under Goodwin. The fourth goal was coming too, and I think Morris would have subbed himself, given how frightened he looked when he accidentally got the ball once after coming out of hiding from behind his marker. There was literally no choice but make a sub. It did bring a great light hearted moment though. I thought it was fairly obvious we were making a double change, but clearly most of the ground were unaware, so when the board went up with Polvara's number and not Morris' the crowd went mental thinking he might be staying on. I don't know how they choose the order when making a double sub (maybe it was the fourth official having a laugh), but they should perhaps take note for future to make sure that you always take the horrendously shite player off first. I'm certain a couple of heart attacks could be avoided in future.

Aye well said.  When I saw the starting line up my head was in my hands.  I honestly can't believe the credit warnock is getting for making changes when the lineup he picked was so utterly insane.  A change to a back 3 when said back 3 will involve 2 fb's at cb whilst leaving an actual cb on the bench beggars belief.  To put mcgrath to lwb even more so.  He should be getting zero credit, quite the opposite actually, he had to waste two subs to try and reclaim a 3 goal deficit that was entirely his fault.  I don't think it's unfair to say would have won that game comfortably if he hadn't gone all 'experimental. Sadly, going by social media, there are far too many sycophants seal clapping the comeback.  I weep for humanity sometimes, I really do.

The only positive is Duk is looking more like himself but I still think the season is over.  We aint getting into Europe with this fud in charge and as for the cup I can't help but fancy Killie to stuff us in the next round...

I wonder if there's ever been a satisfactory response to that question? If he said "yes, at the age of six months, my mother - who had been suffering from deep depression, after finding out my dad had been seeing someone else, and had turned to alcohol - accidentally (although it could never be proven) knocked me off the table, where she'd been changing my nappy, onto a stone floor. I spent six weeks in a coma and a further year in intensive care, before finally being released into foster care.", you'd look and feel like a right dick. If he says "no, shut your cunting face" then you're also no further forward. It's just a very poor line of questioning.

Assuming, of course, the question wasn't rhetorical...  The satisfaction came from the asking which I found a perfectly reasonable response to such a nonsensical post 2bh (which is why your assumption I would feel like a dick is way off base incidentally).  OD has form for those though, I usually just try to scroll by but he specifically replied to me so I thought fuck it.

    Not even remotely sorry.

  9. Just watched the pre match presser.  The first few questions he came across as a bit senile and just waffled bland platitudes.

As depressing as this is to say given what is still up for grabs, right now I just want this season to be over.

Not that it particularly matters to me because I couldn't give two hoots where any of our managers allegiances lie as long as they do a decent job but Warnock has been spotted many times at Morton over the years and is a member of The Morton Community trust.

I've heard of him the radio a few times over the years talking about Scottish football.  Never once mentioned Morton but both times "Ooooo, I do like the Rangers".

But aye, he's a Morton fan for sure.  Nothing to see here.

  11. We will have to agree to disagree because i found his CV box ticking having a laugh attitude fairly fucking unprofessional and I thought he came across as an absolute bellend.....though I concede I was heavily biased against before he uttered a word.

As for playing to your strengths.  Jesus christ.  Stating the fucking obvious is nothing be praised.  He's got no window to freshen up the squad so what the fuck else is he going to do? Deliberately play a system he doesn't have the players? Also, comparing Neil Warnock to a genuinely world class coach like Clarke is like comparing a citreon 2 CV to a tesla.

I don't mind that, I think football should be fun. As should all employment. They're not our servants. To me, it seemed like he was suggesting that he'd make it enjoyable for the players and fans, rather than himself. However, as @OrlandoDon suggests, he came across as very genuine, which I liked. It's refreshing to see a football manager that isn't bothered by the abstract bullshittery of professionalism. Not giving a fuck is a very healthy place to be in my opinion. You can be very honest, and still work hard because you're doing something you choose to.

Well to me it came across as "I'm just here to tick a box on my CV, I'm not really that bothered about the overall outcome and it should be a giggle". Fuck that fuck him.

I'll take actual professionalism any day of the week thank you kindly and I absolutely want the manager of Aberdeen Football Club to be the epitomy of that. I'm genuinely shocked by your attitude there to be honest but to each their own.

I could be wrong, maybe this will work.  If he gets us into Europe and to at least the semi of the SC I will hold up my hands and eat a big ol slice of humble pie.  Truthfully though I will genuinely be pleasantly surprised if we even make top 6.

Thank fuck the internet wasn’t around when we were sniffing around St Mirren’s manager as a replacement for Billy McNeil.

Oh aye, fergie, driven out of rangers because he had the audacity to marry a Catholic, was still brown nosing them at every opportunity wasn't he...... It really is a complete mystery why he turned them down twice when in charge of Aberdeen 🤔

All of it. I find it difficult not to smile when someone else is happy. He was clearly happy. Also, it's very clear that he's not done any homework on the Dons, but he didn't pretend otherwise. Basic is fine when you have nothing to say, much better than I'd hoped.

To each their own but from my pov it was about as bad as I thought it was going to be.  The bit that fucked me off the most was the here to have a bit of fun chat.  Tremendous, we are now light entertainment for a geriatric fucking hun sycophant (morton fan my arse). Warnock out.

Fuck sake, just watched his first interview, found myself involuntarily smiling. Does he not know that I'm trying my best to dislike him?

Really?  What bit made you smile? I found both the interview and pre match presser fairly nauseating 2bh.  He so fucking basic bitch in his answers.   He's got a place in dunnoon don't ha know
