  1. My thoughts after seeing the highlights are that wright had a decent shout for a penalty, smith looks like he hasnt been rushed back and is already nearing full match fitness, Aluko could be a weapon player if he has a wee look around from time to time, bebo scored a peach and looked very lively throughout. This is all based on 3 1/2 mins of highlights, i wasnt at the game Good win though, regardless if it was boring.
  2. try this http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/7945180.stm
  3. thought he said it was from 35 yrds, i m pretty hungover so could easily be mistaken
  4. Honestly who is going to spend money on ricky forster harcus? On the flip side 35 yarder from bebo, nice!!!
  5. That would involve someone being stupid enough to pay money for him.
  6. Sounded like we scored then sat back and let them attack us. Raging, why did we not go for the jugular?
  7. st mirren 1 celtic 0. a point there isnt looking so bad now
  8. I've tried to look it up but got drivel when i googled it and afc website only goes back to 2001. Im not going on the hun website
  9. Padre you crack me up
  10. Did dodds not score one in a 2-2 draw there?
  11. I think its pretty clear that our drop in form is in direct correlation to mcdonald getting injured but even more so since seve has been moved into midfield to cover. In recent games the defence has been all over the place and i reckon its cos seve isnt there to run it. If you look at all fergie's great centre back pairings there has been a brains and a brawn. Eg Miller told mcleish who to go in hard on and mcleish then went and nailed him. It was the same with bruce and pallister and now ferdinand and vidic. Lee Mair is not enough of a leader on the park to play the miller role and zander is clearly the mcleish. We need to get seve back in the defence.
  12. This was always going to be a really tough game after they took a shoeing at the tattiebowl.
  13. its the wright stuff!!!!!
  14. He was good at ict but everywhere else he's done a bernard and had illicit affairs with the physio table. Cant have very hot tables in the highlands
  15. Totally agree with everything said there. this would be my starting line up for st's game clangers vidal, mair, zander, foster kerr, seve, mulgrew aluko mackie, wright Logic behind this is that a mulgrew is looking shaky at the back but he's a good passer and obviously his set pieces are a real weapon. Also he is more than adept playing in midfield, he played many games there for utd. I'd rather have foster at LB when all is said and done, he's not outstanding there but is reasonably solid and has the pace to get him out of trouble. Aluko would have a free role behind the strikers.
  16. aye you've got a fair few there, odds on jimmy comes up with one you dont though. I'll go wright and either mackie or bebo. miller needs dropped to get his head together
  17. I dont think hearts have slipped away from us just yet, there are 30 points to be played for after all. I said in another post that we have always come good in the last quarter under jc and hoepfully that will continue to be the case. As others have said the drop in form seems to be directly related to gary mcdonald being out of the side, hopefully smith can emulate some of the creativity that mcdonald gave us. Lets not get too down folks, we have had some bad luck in all this too. Hitting the post in the last minute at tynecastle for example though speaking of hearts i cant help but be impressed by how well they have coped without berra, thought they were going to cave big time when he left
  18. Well that sounded bollocks
  19. Agreed aj, arab win is probably the best result. Providing we win it would leave 2 points between the 3 teams and i fancy us going into the final quarter, We've finished strongly every season under calderwood
  20. Totally agree, mcdonald has more than filled the shoes of nicholson. When our squad is fully fit i'd say we can have anyone in our league but the lack of depth particularly midfield is scary
  21. anyway, does anyone know how young sammy has been getting on?
  22. thought clark was brought in as a striking coach
  23. cheers boys
  24. Clearly the weakest part of calderwoods management style is youth development. bebo would have flourished ages ago if given more of an opportunity in a striking role as opposed to being lumped onto the wings
  25. as frustrating as smith is with injury's im glad he's clearly not being rushed. Its getting to business end of the season and a fully fit smith would really sharpen our claws up front, lets hope he can get a good run under his belt. reckon he'll make the bench for the killie game
