  1. Awful afternoon. Grasping at straws, but I thought Nilsen did well at CB. That’s my only positive.
  2. I’m no football coach, but Armstrong showing precisely why you don’t want to take him off
  3. If we’re doing dogs, meet Lyra.
  4. The Prodigy - Firestarter
  5. The Trashcan Sinatras - Iceberg
  6. Edwyn Collins - Losing Sleep
  7. Neil Young - Deep Forbidden Lake
  8. You don’t think putting wife in inverted commas was edgy?
  9. Really? Relevant facts might that they’re the world’s major superpower. That they’re English speaking and lots of us have relatives there. That they’re supposed to be a beacon of democracy. That societal developments there often seem to follow here? And conversely that only 50% of them have passports (a record high)? Don’t you want to live in a country where the populace take an interest in world affairs?
  10. The referee’s first name was Ross Whose decisions made me quite cross Plus VAR took its time To NOT draw the lines But we won so who gives a toss?
  11. Thanks to a delayed ferry to Shetland (which I’m now sitting on in the harbour!) managed to grab a last minute ticket. Right at the back of the RDS, which was wonderfully sheltered but 0 atmosphere. Not a single song all afternoon. Still, feel like I lucked out for what will almost certainly be my only trip to Pittodrie this season. Others have said pretty much all that needs saying on the game and there’s nothing positive to say about rhe accusation of a racist remark. You can only hope it was misheard. Can’t not comment on one or two other things. 1. The referee. That was just dismal. Laughable. Appalling. From the VAR/not VAR of ruling out a goal, to the red cards and everything in between. Just amateur. He should never be allowed near one of our games again. 2. The twats near me who boo’ed both Nilsen and Jensen when they came on. FFS. Thats just wanker behaviour of the highest order. Just about pished my breeks when Nisbet scored. Couldn’t help letting out a sarcastic boo… 3. The folk who walked out when we went 2-1 down. It was dismal defending, obviously, but it wasn’t even half time. Still - 6 goals, 3 red cards (did Devlin get one too? Wasn’t sure why he left the pitch with Milne). Some crunching tackles. A ref you can hate. VAR was the only thing that took the edge off that as entertainment.
  12. We’ve been over the ground on this on the dead site, but for those of us who live too far away from Scotland to get to matches, it’s just a way of supporting the club.
  13. Can’t quite believe I’m about to do this, but Cliff Richard - Devil Woman Right, off for a hot shower…
  14. Article says "some" rather than all. Not sure what to take from that, other that we're not finished yet.
  15. I have to say I'm with WTR a bit. Sometimes you just need to patch things up for the short term. I know that's not ideal or pretty, but firstly I'd like to see us shore up the defence, stop conceding silly goals and pull away from the relegation candidates and up into the Top 6. The bringing in of McDonald and his mate Matty from Watford on loan did just that for us a year or two back. On Olusanya I'm sceptical I have to say, so I'd rather a loan given the risk of it not working out! Particularly as he's coming from outwith the SPFL.
  16. Public Image Limited - This Is Not A Love Song
  17. The Jam - Town called malice
  18. Fixed that for you.
  19. Onwards and upwards.
  20. Scrappy. Cameron has done ok. For me Armstrong has been fine - retaining the ball and recycling it. Happy to be winning.
  21. The thing about all this is that the US already has a right to position troops in Greenland and has in fact reduced troop numbers from about 2000 to 200 I think. You can maintain a nuclear umbrella without having to invade someone else’s territory.
  22. I boycotted the studio segment for those reasons. Poor.
  23. All gone very quiet on here, so thought it might be time to get things moving again. For those that like their lyrics, and maybe with an interest in family history, here’s a wee ditty by Dean Owens that centres on the shire.
  24. Radiohead - Subterranean Homesick Alien
