Marvin Gaye - Let's Get It On

In the best traditions of trickle down economics (cough) if anyone on here picks up a couple of those tickets and has already fronted up for the Dons' fan zone in Prague, I'll very happily snap up tickets for that!

I see there’s a piece in the P&J about potential January exits, but behind a paywall. Does it stack up?

Baccarat- Yes Sir, I can boogie

While I'm nae one to slag off the Beeb Their cup headline fair made me seethe 'tic playing Talbot? Have they all forgot? The Dons hold the cup I believe...

Jings. 5 wins from 7. We’re a points accumulating machine. Shame about the quality of the football!

If Jimmy went, that would be my suggestion too.

Ah - my mistake. Thought I was making a cultural faux pas by rehashing AbMad tropes!! You know, the snake mountain/Moncler/buttery type debates. That said, the lack of a limerick thread is making me a wee bit nostalgic for the completely dysfunctional site that AbMad became! -

Apologies - thought that was common parlance. I stand corrected. And slightly less free. -

Discovered last night from my sister that Stewart is from Aberdeen and I vaguely knew him as a kid. He was an alright loon. Apparently he didn’t really enjoy his time at Mordor. Funny that. -
Agree with most of what’s been said on here. First half was dull, but we exercised some control and they didn’t look threatening. So I was happy enough at half time. second half I thought we were playing our way back into it after their goal but the subs were baffling. Completely set us back, with the exception of Clarkson who at least tried to make something happen. I’m not a Jensen hater but I don’t think he works on the left and Lobban is a better choice than him on the right. Not sure where that leaves him. We did look toothless down the left all night as Michael Stewart kept pointing out. No doubt we’re out now. if anyone wants to flog a couple of Sparta Prague tickets I’m your man… otherwise, January is going to be important again.

1-0 at half time. Pleased with that. We’ve shown a fair amount of control and the pressing has been good. Let’s have a bit more of the same.
-
Very well taken goal. Good to see.

We had folks round for lunch so had to go dark and then watch as live on RedTV. I know it wasn’t pretty and we exercised very little control, but i loved that. We fought and won against the league leaders . I’ll take that. thought the back 3 were generally excellent.

Didn’t spot this thread so didn’t introduce myself. My bad. Another AbMad refugee. Great to be here!

Mexico City not hot at all - rarely gets above 24C ( I appreciate that's hot by Aberdonian standards!). In Mexico depends whether you're at altitude or not. Guadalajara probably a bit hotter and Monterrey hotter still! Bits of Canada and The States likely much hotter than Mexico City.

Praying for Mexico, and in particular Mexico City for personal reasons. Those folk know how to party.

Having now watched the RedTV interview and the presser, can't help but be impressed in terms of talking the talk. But we've seen plenty of others with the gift of the gab, so my eternal optimism is bolstered by his experience and clear commitment. So soon in the job to not only be able to talk fluently about the club, but the detail of the likes of Marshall and Lobban is a very positive sign. Fingers crossed. Also great to see he's identified some areas of the pitch where things aren't working - let's hope his analysis is correct.

As hard as Lazetic works up front, we are completely toothless. As said above, it’s moments of individual brilliance that are delivering our terrible goals tally. What a difference a year makes. All those cut backs into the box and goals from all parts of the team at the start of last season. Now, we can barely buy a goal. We could surely have gone 4-4-2 today after half an hour and made life harder for them and easier for us. Still, we’re picking up points. That’s the only positive I can find. Other than a site where you can actually use punctuation.
