Keep the head folks. We have gave away the cheap goals early this week and will come back into this soon. It's the Aberdeen way.
-
I hope you're right and we're not left looking like pedigree chumps.
-
Should be though? We've proven to be not much better at times, this season. A team on a bad losing run, facing us, always give me the fear.

Scottish Cup final: Aberdeen v Celtic - 24/05
TheDonbytheDee replied to Panda's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
For me, it is a trophy of the gods, and nobody lifted it like our very own god back in the 80s. I'd just look too glaikit, standing with it. Each to their own though. -
Aye, fae Dogs to Dogma, in a matter on minutes. I'm beginning to think the Dons in Donstalk, has nothing to do with AFC at all, and more to do with the intellectual capabilities of contributors, ex AbMadders excluded of course.

Someone had better try and retriever this thread from really going to the dogs and get it back on track. We expecting some changes by Lutz today? Clearly a change at the back needed and doubtful he will drop Mitov, which I have read elsewhere, can't see too many other changes. Hopefully our wide players can get onto the ball and whippet into the box for Nisbet to do his business and give us the lead. COYR

You would think that they are holding back on something. They release millions of documents, but nothing of note in them. A cynic might think they are protecting certain people...
-
Loads of documents released, but nothing linking them with the gimp, that I can see.

All the best Dante min. Some thought you were too lightweight for Scottish football, but you had more balls than most, when you stepped up and put away that penalty last May. Regardless of what anyone thought of him, he will always be known as an AFC Scottish Cup winner. Not many can claim that.

I nearly died when I was six, after choking on a hard sweet. My Brother somehow managed to dislodge it from my throat, but I was lucky. Didn't stop me eating them, which might actually have been a good thing. I was up at Ballater last year and was in the Dee Valley shop. Bought a bag of Soor Plooms, and although they were fine, I only ate the one and gave the rest to my loon.

My teeth have just fell out by just looking at that site, from the above link. Some affa fine things available, a hell of a price though. A pity we can't get them at 1970/80s prices. I've had a hankering for a Golden Cup this week. Someone mentioned them at work a couple of days ago.

I was thinking Reekie maybe meant Cola Bottles v Cola Cubes, as I can only remember red ones too, but I could well be wrong. I do remember Pineapple chunks, which were basically a Cola Cube, but yellow.

This threads really going to the dogs... I'll get me coat.

Ex Lib Dem MP/MSP Jim Wallace, away at 71. I thought he was about that age, when he became Deputy First Minister.

If we won the Scottish Cup, with a full team of foreign players, very few of us would give a fuck. Yes it would be nice to have a team of Scottish players, mainly brought through from our youth academy, but fitba has changed even more so than Edinburgh.

That's my era too. You used to get a fair bag of sweets for 10p. Cola Bottles and the little foam mushrooms, being a particular favourite. I used to always dream of being able to buy off the top shelf from the 'icer'. Not dirty mags, just expensive chocolates, like Mars, Bounty, Twix, etc. Your 10p back then, could also buy you a cone, with either juice or chocolate sprinkles, or an ice cream soda and then you started to get 5p bags of crisps.

On this day on 1989, I had my first away day. Down to East End Park for a 0-0 draw, with the Pars, in the cup. It really wasn't a good game and I was taken aback at how ramshackle East End Park was. We did win the replay on the Wednesday, 3-1 and then went out of the cup against the Jute, in the next round, at the third attempt. Also on this day. 1905 - Pittodrie had its first ever five figure crown, against Queens Park. 1967 - Davie Robb made his debut for the Dons, in a cup tie against Dundee. 1992 - Posters appeared around Aberdeen, asking people to boycott Pittodrie, due to wanting rid of Alex Smith. I can't remember that happening, but certainly remember wanting Smith out.

Anyone know what happened to the loon? Got some minutes, then a start at Ibrox and don't think he's been seen again. I know he is young, but our experienced players have been worse than shit on many occasions and not dropped. Possibly attitude issues? No idea, just surmising.

They don't care about the fans. We are all just a nuisance to the authorities.

I just read Brewdog and to close their distillery, so the end of the line for the Gins & Alcohol. Their link up with AFC, for this, didn't last too long.

Although it's always nice to see Scottish players in the line up, I think it was down to players playing to their strengths, that got us over the line, more so than their nationality. I mean, getting balls in from the wing and strikers in the box, revolutionary stuff, who knew it would win us games. The character shown, after going 2-1 down, was the most pleasing part. It will mean sweet FA, if we don't get the points at Killie on Saturday

Sly Dunbar - In my opinion, one of the best drummers ever and one half of the Sly and Robbie (Shakespeare) rhythym section/production duo , has passed aged just 73.

On this day in 1974, Aberdeen played the first official football match, in Scotland, to be played on a Sunday. Aberdeen were beaten at home, by Dundee. 0-2. The heritage trust doesn't list a kick off time for it. I bet it wasn't at 4:30pm.
