  1. ah the famous Tommy Steel game Was a major embarassment at the time, little did we know the number of them still to come, each one of which would trump the previous
  2. Hear what you're saying Bobby, but not been there, seen it, done it etc........ Why not combine the two ? Jocky to front the job, Cooper in the background learning the ropes, ready to take over all command next season, season after ?
  3. +1 Couldn't believe it last mid week when i was down south and got the text saying Sky sports were reporting betting suspended on him being next manager to get the bullet in EPL. Think he has done a fantastic job since taking over at St James with very little money (in EPL terms ) to spend.
  4. In the real world, short of winning at least 75% of the remaining games this season, including victory in Co-op Cup final nothing is going to save Dingus........then again I'm not a member our ambitious board of directors
  5. not for long Bobby, not under any illusions, finishing 17th this season is a result for Newcastle
  6. Tenacious little fucker
  7. You'll have to shell out to fill it Bobby, cause Stewarty isn't going to
  8. Hows about the following Realised after about half an hour of the first leg game against Sigma that we had problems at full in the full back positions and decided top make it my number one priority....... no thought not, only us punters that saw that apparently
  9. As previously said not going back until we/him show some sense and bring this debacle to an end Who sat in on this meeting London Scottish ?
  10. [move]UNACCEPTABLE[/move]
  11. Fucking great result. Almost half way to safety already
  12. In answer to the question in the thread title and in "Have I Got News For You" style " could we possibly be any worse off ? "
  13. Derek Adams isn't the answer in my opinion. Would almost welcome "Craig Brown" type appointment i.e someone who has been around the game awhile, reasonably well respected and knowledgable and not necessarily looking fo the gig long term but more just to steady the ship.
  14. x 3 from this hoose as well
  15. Room for a passenger ?
  16. Have read some pretty unnecessary personal insults against McGhee elsewhere. No need to to resort to that level. Will always remember McGhee for his contribution to our club's proud past, but please please do the decent thing and clear your desk and walk away now. Way past your sell by date Mark
  17. Don't think he'll touch us with a barge pole To be honest not really sure who we should get, but there wil always bew plenty of folk out there who think they are the one to suceed where so many other have tried and failed
  18. You know things are really bad when you start getting sypathetic texts insrtead of wind up ones from mates that support other teams like I was getting from about 4.30 onwards yesterday

Night in tonight, away to Huntly the morn to visit my old man in hospital
  20. Two issues with that mate. Firstly it will be post transfer window before Jesus rises from the dead, and secondly would he realyy want to be part of this shite
  21. Bet that made Fraser feel six foot tall. Actually on second thoughts it probably made him six foot tall
  22. Stand out for us today. Not as if he much competiton though
  23. My take on the game, thought we started ok....I'll re-iterate ok, not as though we had any shots at goal, but didn't look like losing a goal, then Howard comes for a cross misses it, and free header into an empty net. Second half start as if Dingus has had a real rant at half time and we get a free kick that never was, Hartley crosses, Bebo swings and misses it, leaving McArdle with opportunity to score with some class in the corner. Instead of kicking on from there we start to give St Mirren more of the ball resulting in late late winner. Was Paton at fault, maybe he could have done better, but without sounding like a broken record, the lack of natural full backs is more of an issue. Memo to Mr McGhee, you alone carry the can for that scenario. Pass marks to Jack and particularily to Folly ( without doubt the best in a red shirt today ). The rest of the team varied from just about average to completely honking. Worrying to see how badly we are effected when Hartley has an off day and doesn't boss the middle of the park. Did we deserve to lose, probably no, and a draw would have been a fairer result. Blatant hand ball in their box waived on by the ref early doors, which if given could have totally changed the outcome of the game. Highlight of the day, struggling to come up with one, so going to give it to the free beans I got with my steak "n" gravy pie bought on before kick off. Going to be a long long season guys
  24. Bring it on. Day oot at Hampden. Feel good about this one
