  1. @KGB @RicoS321 I don't dispute that there's no link to a hard player being a good Manager etc... I am talking about them as a person. Ferguson is highly thought of, he's respected for the work he does and as a person, I find him infectious, I see his passion and his sheer love for Everton and the fact he purely wants the best for them, I disagree with the whole " Footballs moved on from that type of person/player " I strongly believe they're still very much needed in today's game, you see a lot of the time a team will lose a goal or they won't challenge a 50-50 and their heads go down, you want someone there to boot them up the arse or even motivate them and make sure they leave everything on the pitch. I think the fact he's worked very closely with the likes of Moyes, Koeman, Martinez & now Ancelotti can only be a good thing as well, not bad Managers to gain advice and learn from. I believe he'll make a very good Manager for someone ( Which I appreciate doesn't mean he will just because I believe it ) and I'd really love it if it was with us.
  2. I wouldn't want that prick anywhere near our Club, people will say it's hypocritical because I want D Ferguson, but as I explained, he's clearly a lot more level headed these days and has for many years now, been learning under various different Managers at Everton, he channels it into passion rather than aggression these days. Scott Brown always has been and always will be, a plastic hard man, I watched Partick Thistle play Celtic in the Cup seasons ago, and Brown absolutely shit himself from Martin Woods, Billy Dodds was on commentary and said they have previous but couldn't discuss it on Live TV as it was private of course, I have watched him shite it from big Cosgrove and run behind a Ref when Cosgrove got hold of him, he's fake, he's a bully and he pretty much called Shay Logan a liar in the whole Tonev/race incident, get him so far to fuck. Players would want to play for Ferguson, he's infectious, Brown is just a muppet and I don't think he'd have the same respect. ( Need to reiterate this is just my Opinion ) As for Glass, jesus wept, I have no issue with him coming here in a coaching capacity, but to be Head Coach/Manager, absolutely not, makes zero sense and is hardly going to get the imagination going.
  3. Made my feelings known in a different thread regarding this. For me it has to be Duncan Ferguson, he wants to manage, and I think his goal is to manage Everton one day, but he really should cut his teeth elsewhere. Why not us? I appreciate he has a lack of Managerial experience, but he's been coaching and learning under various Managers for many years now, again, I am an enormous believer in mentality, I think he'd have us fired up for a home game against a 3rd Division team in the early cup rounds as much as he would away to Rangers/Celtic. I don't believe for one minute he'd accept that our aim is 3rd and we should be happy with it, he'd demand and strive for better. We all know what type of character he is, personally I find him infectious, passionate, heart on his sleeve and purely wants the best. He's a lot more level headed now but you still wouldn't fuck about with him, we need that, as well as someone with good tactical sense, he's learned from Moyes, Marco Silva and is now Ancelotti's assistant. The game where he was caretaker Manager and they beat Chelsea 3-1, you know they made more tackles in that game than they had done in 37 years? He's old school but has good teachers. What he's done with a lot of the Everton youngsters as well, some of who still play for the 1st team, is highly regarded, It's just my opinion, I appreciate and accept that some will say " Fuck that " or maybe we couldn't afford him, but I genuinely believe he's exactly what we need. These 2 YT clips I have put up explain a bit about how he works.
  4. Cormack has made his position clear. Can only hope that McInnes himself sees he's taken us as far he can can, with his ability, and agrees to move on in the Summer. But given the alleged wage he's on, and the fact that I don't think he'll get a better job than ours now, he won't go anywhere on his own accord certainly. Definitely disappointed, but will always support the Club. If Cormack and Co are serious about their vision for the Club, ith the closing the gap on Rangers/Celtic & rising in the Uefa Rankings etc... they are not going to achieve that with McInnes, so they either said it to get us throwing Money at the Club, or Cormack genuinely wants that for us and sadly, Covid has put the brakes firmly on it. Either way, Derek McInnes will have one more full Season here at the very most, guaranteed.
  5. If McInnes' salary is to be believed, then I think it's entirely possible. In terms of cost to Everton, he's part of their Academy there, and Coaching staff, wouldn't even like to take a guess at what sort of Money you'd be looking at.
  6. I'll add my tuppence worth, it's a Forum after all. I write this on Twitter frequently, so if any of you are on there, you'll have most likely seen it. If McInnes were to be removed, which I hope he's not, by the way, it should be mutual, like Robinson did at Motherwell, and to be honest, I am getting a bit fed up with the whole " He deserves more time " pish, we're regressing and have been for 3 Seasons now, he's in his 8th Season for fuck sake ? he's had ample time & he's paid very handsomely. But having said that, he still deserves some respect for what he brought in the first 5 Seasons. Although arguably, he's hardly over achieved or that, has he? One League Cup & a couple of Runner Up spots when the League was far weaker. Also, don't forget he has had his Playing Squad wage budget increased for a few Seasons in a row now, and there's still no improvement in sight. Anyway, back on subject, if he were to be removed, and some will scoff at this, but I really could not care less, I'd be doing everything I could to get Duncan Ferguson. Heart on his sleeve, infectious, passionate and would absolutely demand the very basics get done with 100% effort and commitment, people would want to play for him, has a positive mindset and worked with all these Youth Players at Everton that now feature in their 11, all who have raved about him as a Coach ( Calvert-Lewin, Tom Davies, Kenny, Holgate etc.. ) some of them came from other youth academies, but worked with Ferguson before breaking into Everton's 1st Team. Plus he was a basket case, even though it would appear he's settled a bit, he'd certainly not take any pish from anyone in the opposite dugout etc... I am a strong believer in mentality, he has the right Mentality. If he could be persuaded, I'd be over the moon, I think we'd get a lift and he'd always be looking at the Youth setup as well. I don't think he'd kowtow to Rangers or Celtic either, he'd probably demand we approached those types of games with the same attitude and desire as we would against a Hamilton or St Mirren etc... That's my tuppence worth, I have said for 2 years now change is needed and it would be better for McInnes to mutually agree to it before shit turns sour, and unfortunately it looks like it might be heading that way.
  7. Never been a fan of Bryan Adams, and Summer Of 69 got played to death when I was a Steward at almost every Pub/Club I worked at, drove me mad. But this is a good song to be fair, the missus had the stupid dance version on and it made me give the original a listen.
  8. For me, this is a proper Power Ballad! Has everything, gives me chills ? But not normally something I'd like and therefore, wouldn't normally share, ergo it's a guilty pleasure.
  9. My Music is the best, Hendo, nothing dodgy about it ? I jest of course, I know my Music is not to everybody's liking, but I like it, therefore it's the best ?
  10. Back on Topic, feels like this thread has been getting neglected I give to you an absolute cracking song I randomly found ( I may have posted it already? ) This boy will be huge, I hope, this is right up my street.
  11. Dave Min clearly has taste, Al, he gets it with Springsteen I assume, makes him alright in my book
  12. Fit like Hendo, just been in a bad way recently, starting to come out of it now though, I'll be back to McInnes bashing and posting songs in no time. Hope you're good min.
  13. I liked one or two, but if I am honest, it's probably my least favourite. " One Minute You're Here " is classic Springsteen, my favourite from that Album by far. I do like that he's starting to become really nostalgic though and recognising all the People that helped him get to where he is.
  14. Watched this the other night there, was very good in bits and a bit meh in others, but definitely worth a watch. Russell Crowe is brilliant in it, very similar to Michael Douglas in Falling Down if you are familiar with that. Solid 7/10 for me.
  15. Not sure why, but this has grown on me, really like it. I heard it at the end of a Movie I recently watched and had me searching for it, it's not the worse cover there has been.
  16. @BigAl@rocket_scientist Cheers for that, pretty good voice to be fair, looking into more of her stuff for sure. @Elgindon I'm always in a melancholic sort of mood, I like the simplicity of someone and their Guitar, not overly keen on the Nebraska cover, but feel it might grow on me.
  17. @BigAl Any Album/songs in particular? I know who she is, but never listened to her.
  18. Rewatched " The Indian Runner " last night, truly under appreciated movie. Amazing performances by Viggo Mortensen & David Morse, none more so than this excellent scene.
  19. New to Emmylou Harris, glad I found her, great voice.
  20. Glad you both replied. Solely on Gleeson, sonoftherock, you are correct in saying he was an International, he had a pretty respectable CV, the only reason we got him was because of his Injury problems, a quick search on Google will show you what every one of his Managers said about him, previous to joining us. I wanted it to work, same as all of us, I thought on paper it was a very good addition, it never worked out, but my point was, he never did anything wrong, made himself available for the ball, took the game ( And Olly Lee ) by the scruff of the neck against Hearts when he came on, we were being absolutely bossed, Livingston away, the game Wilson set up young Campbell, he made a big difference, and the other times he played, he did his job, kept it ticking along and was a pretty good passer of the Ball, I believe had we got him fully fit, he'd have been a key Player for us. Our aspirations are the very same, I assure you. The rest of the Players you have mentioned ( Bryson aside, for the moment ) you have hit the nail on the head, McInnes' transfer dealings have been largely pish and he doesn't get called out enough for it. Especially Forrester, Tansey & May. I am not saying Gleeson was a success, I'm saying he never did anything wrong when he played, and when he played, he was never 100% Match Fit. Rico, Gleeson was brought in to replace Jack, similar players that come deep for the ball and keep it moving. He's never been a box to box midfielder, I absolutely understand why McInnes signed him, but sadly it wasn't to be. I see the very same trend happening with Bryson now though, hasn't been fully fit since he arrived, has a pretty decent CV, is someone who could be a very important Player for us, but it's looking more and more unlikely. Again though, was pretty happy when we signed him and understand why McInnes brought him in.
  21. Please elaborate, both of you. Gleeson played sporadically and started a handful of games, when he played, he was absolutely fine, he wasn't fit enough to play 90 minutes due to injuries, we're in the same position with Bryson right now. Fail to see why your " Jesus " retorts are merited, at least back it fucking up with some sort of contrary opinion.
  22. He's miles off the pace because we keep trying to rush him back from injuries, when he's clearly not match fit. It's desperation from McInnes' part to put him out there. And I'll carry this on from last Season, there was absolutely fuck all wrong with Gleeson, the guy never put a foot wrong when he Played ( Barring one slack pass back against St Mirren ) he influenced games against Livingston and Hearts, but he's another that was never really match fit and picked up the odd injury here and there.
  23. And ironically, he was the only midfielder that was vocal, and trying to close down as much as he physically could, there was a point in the 2nd half he went a bit mental at the rest of the Players because he was chasing Balogun, who was passing to Goldson, and the rest of the team were at the Halfway line.
  24. Completely unsurprising performance. We resorted to long balls up to Anderson, who was up against two 6ft ( Plus ) Center backs, fucking hell. Don't recall a single effort on target, middle 3 were abysmal as plenty have alluded too, Hernandez was decent at best, square head though, most of his headers went out for throw ins for fuck sake. Thought Ash Taylor was actually decent overall, Hedges looked lively when he came on, Hayes bust a gut all match without any end product and Edmondson did more than Anderson, but up against those Center Backs, no blame will be laid at the feet of Bruce, he's just not that type of Striker, he needs a Partner. Anyway, fucking dung and more delusional pish from the Manager after the game. He won't last this season, not basing that from today obviously, basing it on the regression for the last 3 years, and this year, we actually have a pretty decent squad on paper, but we will still regress, even more so, and he'll get the dunt.
