A little surprised killie asking for help. Only fair if they do it to all clubs in Europe every year, or perhaps if a team reaches a euro semi and the ācountryā is supporting them! dont recall getting an sympathy from anyone last yearā¦
-
Why??? Thatās special treatment, we did it last year, hearts the year before, no?
-
Well killie played 24 hrs after us, now have extra time today, 10 men, travel to Denmark, then up to us next Sunday. Not ideal for them!
-
Ha! Morris cuts inside a lot, one of my major frustrations with a player with supposed blazing speed who should be able to take anyone on the outside. i was meh on Topi yesterday. Nice finish but he didnāt really do anything spectacular, but I had no expectation on him yesterday. Give the boy time to settle and Iām optimistic based on the clips Iāve seen that heāll be a good signing.

Itās been seven games and weāve seen shinnie sivert clarkson McGrath vinnie Morris topi gueye polvara Duncan, and maybe even boyd in our midfield. Hard to get real continuity chemistry and understanding. Throw in sokler playing with miovski, plus the transfer drama, weāre weekly work in progress. i like sokler but have my doubts, but i agree time is needed. Just not sure if sokler will get that.

I check here every day and really appreciate the interaction. Given I live overseas, I donāt have anyone to talk to about Aberdeen, although I do have a couple of yanks and two Brazilians I work with in my EPL fantasy league who have all shown interest in the dons and now follow our scores. My endless venting has made it impossible for them to ignore us. anyway, I talk to myself here half the time and occasionally reply to my own posts but who gives a shit really. Appreciate you all contributing!!

Agree re Mackenzie, and I think he has developed good chemistry with McGrath. Given McGrath really isnāt a wide player, Mackenzie bombing on is huge for us and McGrath gives him that space. I also think itās credit to sivert and shinnie too who help allow Mackenzie and devlin to push on. like the appetite of vinnie the last two games. Seems like someone has finally got through to him to work his bollocks off. He has ability, can he keep up this intensity?

I didnāt think barron was a permanent starter for us. I think heās the best of a bad lot there, I donāt think thatās a good team and I donāt think they have a particularly good coach. flip side, Iām liking Thelin and his philosophy, and the style of play we seem to be adapting. shinnie, sivert, polvara, clarkson, McGrath, plus hopefully, and this is a biggie, ante is a legit player, thatās a solid center midfield group. Throw in transfers too and our somewhat successful philosophy there, plus general club finance, it appears to be two clubs heading in different directions.
-
From your perspective in real time of proven through replay??
-
Until clarkson is back, we have to have McGrath at 10 and two from vinnie/morris/topi wide. gueye has had minutes and not done enough. Agreed, sokler up top with McGrath behind will be better for ester too.
-
And a clean sheet. See hearts and Ross county lost, so happy with the win!
-
Job done. Nice that we are developing a style of play. We are still work in progress but a win is a win.
-
I think Ambrose gets worse each week
-
Today is a day we lack a threatening 9.
-
Move McGrath to 10 and bring on topi!!
-
Good to see Milne play, keen to see what he can do in one of his more natural positions. to be fair to be morris, heās been less shite than expected and has a goal and assists this season. Heās a confidence player so tough on him if dropped. Still, he is shite and hopefully is fazed out.
-
I think morris is dropped for topi and McGrath is on the right. Think gueye keeps his starting place. Wondering if shinnie or sivert gets rested for ante, but unlikely. Think we see ante in the second half. 3-0, changing my scorers, sokler topi and McGrath.
-
Done everything asked, won every game, and itās clear heās implementing a culture and style, not just coaching a team. Players seem happy, positivity around the place, the one player heās known and signed seems a good addition, and in game management heās had a couple of games where half time adjustments were needed and he did just that. i think an A is fair, canāt be A+ since performances havenāt been perfect. B+ is a little harsh, what else are you expecting from him/what else could he have done?
-
Think it was Burrows that said when bojanās departure was confirmed that we are continuing to look at ways to strengthen the squad until the window closes, I assume that means more to come in? another forward? Another winger? Perhaps another central defender and Macdonald and or Jensen moves on? thoughts? Any gossip/rumors out there besides the u20 defender that I think was shot down, plus the st johnstone forward??
-
Confirmed, killie are in Denmark next Thursday, then pittodrie next Sunday.
-
You mean it gives killie another midweek game while we have a week to rest and prepare for the league game. Hopefully they are away and travel next Thursday too.
-
Love the ambition of miovski, great move. And Ferguson, Ramsey, ramadani. And then thereās Connor Barron. Reading and listening to the shit being spouted this week, did Barron join a sinking ship??
-
I expect Topi to start in place of Morris, McGrath moved to the right as he was when Vinny came on last week. I also expect/hope to see Ante play but Iām thinking he comes off the bench. Good game for both of them to make debuts. team more or less picks itself, confidence is increasing, expect a good performance. Ideally we get a shut out, two conceded in league play and both somewhat avoidable. That needs improved. 3-0 us. Sokler 2 and McGrath.
-
Wish him nothing but the best, a model signing, a class act, and a very good player. whereās Duk? The ongoing silence is a little bizarre.
