Like I said, highly unlikely/impossible, but Iāll pick holes at your response. I just wonder if we ever look at transfers this way. We have a player trading model and in the states trades are very common/the means of transfers. Very different logistically, and I agree with what you said in the sense of salary being an issue, unlike here, in the nba for example, where salaries are out in the open and you have to match salary. However - Lennon is out of contract in a year. What was 2.5m in January is less 7 months later. 1.5m plus 2 players and a sell on % may sound about right. Doesnāt matter what como are paying for other players. are Jensen and polvara high earners? I dont think so. Can Motherwell afford them, maybe? Both have an upside too, I think theyād be good signings for Motherwell despite their limited playing time with us. Unlike the states where players for the most part go to the trading team, footie players have to agree to a team and Jensen and or polvara may have no interest in Motherwell. Thatās a major stumbling block. i donāt see him going to rangers, and at Celtic I potentially see him going the way of David Turnbull. The comparison to Ferguson is a good one. Be a star with us, become a Scotland regular, then move onwards and upwards. Not happening I know, Iāll go lie down.

Im too lazy to look, do they do the stainless steel travel mug?Thatās a sure fire winner, plenty like me with a coffee addiction. Pretty sure weād be buying miovski if we sold these in the club shop.
-
Highly unlikely/impossible, plus itās the American sports influence in me where teams āownā players, but what if we offered Motherwell Ā£1.5M (using that since it was mentioned with Adil) plus polvara and Richard Jensen plus a 20% sell on for Lennon miller. I like polvara and think heās solid but he sets them up with a replacement, and I just donāt know where he fits with us. surely the Lewis Ferguson comparison is a good thing to sell them on? I donāt think Ā£4m for a player in Scotland with 12 months left on a contract is realistic, and this is a creative win-win offer.

Iāll add to my own comment about center mid. Iām assuming we play with a 6, 8, and 10 positions, and I do expect big things from Abdul at 10. I also expect a step up from palaversa after a full summer and preseason and heās settled. Plus, wonder if we finally get a step up from a fit and full preseason we polvara. Im happy with what we have, but if one leaves Iām not too disappointed as none have locked in a starting role. Thing we have good competition in there. May the back of say punt Richard Jensen and keep the rest. Milne ruby and molloy are all good over in the middle plus devlin Jensen and molloy can all cover left back assuming the new signing is the started. being greedy you could add a 4th winger but Iād say thatās Duncan, Vinny can leave. you can add Boyd to center/attacking mid, again a needed Scot, but for his development I think heād benefit from minutes out on loan. up top I think Sokler and the big Aussie are ok, we need the main 9. Ambrose goes out on loan or sold, add an existing young scot as the 4th option/quota. Think we could also see milanovic at 10 or 9 too.
-
I just donāt see another central midfielder coming in, with shinnie sivert Clarkson polvara palaversa gueye kjarten and adil, I think we are covered, unless one or two move on. With the exception of maybe kjarten, all expect to play. The only hole is another 9. Even with wingers, we do have Duncan and vinnie, and I expect Duncan to stay simply for being Scottish/home grown.
-
Careful. Thatās like saying Willie miller was an overrated central defender and ash Taylor was clearly better. miovski is legit. Imagine what heād do for Celtic with the quality of players around him, rangers to a lesser extent. While I donāt pay much attention to dressers, he missed a fair few chances, maybe he scores 25 and bojan scores 40ā¦

Cheers. I didnāt think stockley or cosgrove were bad, especially cosgrove who scored a bunch. Although I do think that was the end for Mcinnes since our style of play went to shit and we were a horrible watch as I said.
-
What was the deal with Jayden Shockley, he only lasted a season with us? Though he was a decent target man, seem to remember a lovely goal v Patrick thistle. Iām thinking he was black balled for being too physical?? Replaced him with his twin cosgrove.
-
He had two excellent seasons with us, scored some quality goals, while coinciding with some absolutely god awful football. We became route one long ball, and I hated how we played. Read somewhere cosgrove got injured and isnāt the same player now, not sure how accurate.
-
We strike out on all of our targets, and are left to choose between Fraser Hornby, Curtis Main, Sam cosgrove, or go all in on Ambrose? Or do we play with 10?
-
Given the secrecy of our signings, were we even in for him???
-
Another one here, as I said before, a bit palaversa-ish, highly regarded youth who has lost his way.
-
interesting lad!
-
Hard to tell but perhaps since Maddison and Christie? Weāve been crying out for a 10 since them, thought McGrath may be the answer but we stuck him out left for various reasons. Interesting type of signing, a bit like palaversa, a young hot prospect who lost his way. Unlike the one year deal that can be extended that we gave to palaversa, a loan with option to buy isnāt that different. Hope heās a winner!!
-
Itās worries me when people get this enthusiastic. I was excited when I saw highlights of Ambrose! At the same time, Iām liking the attributes and info on our signings, including a tank of a forward. We seem to have signed decent flare and pace, and players who have a positive reputation. This guy is intriguing, and an option to buy is a good thing. Still think we are missing our best 9, maybe heās the missing link?
-
Interesting that we sign three aussies, then we sign this guy who played with Portsmouth so has played with yengi. And we are linked with another Frenchman. Seems a common theme to help players settle that they have some sort of link??
-
I donāt expect to see shinnie and sivert playing together a lot. Think Clarkson and palaversa did well enough last year that between those two, polvara and the new guy, plus a potential new #10, the two oldies may be rotated.
-
So, thatās quite a move! Although maybe itās one of those signings where they immediately send him out on loan, to us.
-
Still nothing suggesting £10m for Ambrose to replace lukaku at Napoli?
-
According to his interview he was a forward and a winger until a coach moved him into the no 6 holding mid role.
-
Why not? We have two old guys, Clarkson, palaversa, and polvara. Youth in midfield was desperately needed, especially since Milne is a defender.
-
Doesnāt help that our interviewer (mal??) is awful. We need a proper reporter/interviewer as we develop and improve our online/social media presence. Heās very amateur. Reminds me of the commentators before we had Rob McLean. His questions are very poor and he doesnāt help the guy at all.

apologies for the source, certainly sounds a first team player. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/kartan-mar-kjartansson-seals-aberdeen-35497797?int_source=amp_continue_reading&int_medium=amp&int_campaign=continue_reading_button#amp-readmore-target

I thought they were waiting for the huge stand free tattoo to dry on his forehead before announcing shankland at cormack park?
-
I know Iām in the vast minority but Iād take shankland in a heartbeat, the fact heās a dick doesnāt concern me, much like brown was a dick. Bonus that heās homegrown/scottish. As much as shankland and Anderson are an upgrade on sokler and Ambrose, plus shankland is better than nisbet, would still be underwhelming despite the pick up of Scotās.
