I think we all did things 30 years ago that we might not be too proud about looking back on now.  As a supporter of a club whose fans have sung songs about people dying in stadiums, laughing at players getting injured and even chucking seats at their own, we are in no place to get all high and mighty.

Getting high and mighty over Huns is what gets me out of bed in the morning

Fair percentage of the Hearts fans will see nothing wrong with that.

That's the dream, but I suspect they will be able to lose that one.

I thought they would bottle it tonight, but once again, came back from being behind the claim the points.

Need more than just luck to keep winning games like that.

Hearts were hardly amazing, der hun shat it big time.  Motherwell away is now a giant banana skin for Hearts cos that is no easy game but if they were to get through that with a win it the title is probably going to Tynecastle.

They’ll drop points to Motherwell and Falkirk in the worlds biggest bottle job

It’s Hearts

They've equalled our best points total already though. Fairly impressive. I think 80 points might win it this year. The Tims don't look like a team that will win their remaining games, let alone turn around a goal difference.

Fa's the jakey they pulled off the street outside Waverley Station to try and gee up the home support pre kick off 🤔

I felt if Hearts could take at least four points from Hibs & Rangers they would win it. They got six, and were behind in both games.

They can afford to lose a game now and still win it. I've heard Celtic fans say if it's alive on the final day then Celtic will do what they need to do and score as many as they need, but I don't think they will. This isn't the Celtic side of old. It's one that has filled itself with project players and relied on previous title winners who have regressed from what they once were.

I don't think Celtic will win their three remaining games. Honestly, I could see Hearts beating Motherwell and Celtic dropping points to Rangers, meaning Hearts can win it at home in midweek.

Is it good for Aberdeen? Unlikely. It makes Hearts significantly stronger, especially if they reach the group stages of the Champions League. Maybe not enough to win it again if Celtic finally spend their vast reserves, but enough to make it more difficult for us to close the gap on them.

However, I'm beginning to accept it. It stings, especially because it's Derek McInnes, but I have a few Hearts pals I'll be happy for. What's more important than anything though is that we sort ourselves the fuck out, because we need to at the very least be competitive again at the top end.

I agree, from what i have seen of them they are a shadow of their former selves and they look blunt up top. I'm not sure where their fans expect the goal avalanche to come from but its Celtic so anything can happen

It does not really need to be an avalanche of goals though.  They are 3 points behind Hearts with a goal difference of 5 between the sides.  In theory, if they score two or three against Rangers and Motherwell, it may mean having to beat Hearts by say 3 goals in the last game at Parkhead.  Not an impossible scenario.  Hearts have been very good but if it comes down to the final game you would still fancy Celtic at home against them.

Of course there is the flip side to that and if Hearts beat Motherwell on Saturday they would increase the goal deficit to 6 so if Rangers were to then beat Celtic on the Sunday and make that deficit 7+ it would be pretty much game over with two games to spare.

Pains me to say it, but hearts have been the best team all season, have to give them credit when it’s due. As much as I want them to screw it up, yesterday I felt showed they have the stones for this. They seem to have a group of mentally tough players.

Motherwell will be a tough game, but I just don’t see Celtic winning out so even if hearts were to slip, which I doubt, they may still win it.

I guess it would be quite an avalanche based on their results recently. For goal difference to be a factor, then we're assuming they both win their next two. The Tims would likely want to narrow the gap by four goals so that they can go in just needing to win by one. For that to happen, they need at least a +3 margin in their next two games, and they haven't really been doing that. They're losing goals in nearly every game, and not their only putting four past shite like the Dons!

I agree with what you say but they generally only win by the odd goal at the moment and look incapable of putting 3 past anyone (us accepted) let alone Hearts in the final game if that was the scenario. In any event I think they will drop more points so may be a moot point.
