Lindsey Vonn broke her leg today after a fall competing with a snapped ACL which she did last week, aged 41 in what will be her final games

was always a risk for her but she took it anyway after 2 successful practice runs last couple of days

it looks like she had started on an aggressive line and as she turned into small mound her ski pole clipped the gate as she became airborne turning her slightly mid air resulting in the fall

She never quite emulated her ex (Tiger) with the comeback victory she craved but she was certainly living for the moment- not sure if there is a need to be in the public eye but wish her a full and speedy recovery

I had a cracking weekend in Milan, the figure skating was incredible to see live and the ice hockey atmosphere was brilliant.

Add to that tremendous food & wine 😊

I love ice hockey but it’s difficult when I follow the Canucks and all the teams I hate are doing well

That's not much different to following the Dons.

Has anybody asked what she thinks about the manager situation yet?

She just missed out on a bronze!!

Gutting for her - missed out by 0.41 or something like that

Yes the commentators thought she had it so I was quite excited- fine margins

She still has another event to go. And she's young, so she could have another crack in four years.

Some of the comments on the BBC about her are disgraceful.

I think she is amazing imagine being that good and missing out by a fraction cause the standard is so high.

No, I meant the comments on the article on the BBC website.

Fingers crossed for the lad in the skeleton but Team GB seem to be having a bit of a mare so far.

Why does the British team perform so poorly in the Winter Olympics yet persistently punch above their weight in the summer version. Odd.

Always enjoy watching the speed skating, but not seen any major crash outs yet.

There's no world class facilities for most Winter sports in the UK such as bobsleigh and the other slidey sports.

Aye, investment basically. It's also not really a London thing.

That would make sense. As a tournament it bores me rigid but I do expect Scotland (GB) to do better at the curling and I noticed they lost to Italy the other day. That's surely unacceptable.

Matt Weston wins his second gold of the games for GB.

That's him a stick-on for Sports Personality of the Year unless England win the World Cup.
