2012-2013 Goal Scorer thread

Aberdeen's new signing Calvin Zola is aiming to hit the 20-goal mark for the Dons this season.

Last season Niall McGinn became the first Don to score 20 goals in a season since Billy Dodds in 1997.

However, former Burton Albion forward Zola, who signed a two-year contract with the Dons, believes, with creative midfielders such as Jonny Hayes, Gregg Wylde and Barry Robson supplying the ammunition, he will have plenty of opportunities to emulate the Northern Ireland international's goalscoring prowess.

See the midfield still rules the roost

Dont suggest that, Edinburgh don will get really really upset!

I was wondering why your graph above showed 3 strikers and a "midfielder"  ;)

I'm sure I recall being generally pissed off with our performance this time last year but we are only 2 points better off now and I feel relatively pleased.  ???

Tom, would personally put that down to the difference in the quality of play on the park.

Didn't think there was much more potential in the side last year, this year I think we can still get much better

Yes this time last season we were on a bit of a downer IIRC?

McGinn has now scored 30 goals in 58 games for AFC football club.

That is awesome.

Is that getting into Big Frankie territory?

Just checked, close 36 in 54!
