Aberdeen vs Motherwell - Cup

Recommended Posts

Randolph has just been suspended so perhaps the tide is turning towards a Red victory

Think I read somewhere that Motherwell have never lost a Scottish Cup tie at Pittodrie and no doubt if they win the press will start with the 'oh remember they started their 1991 cup run with a win at pittodrie' malarky again

Not sure if it's true, but:

Motherwell have never lost a Scottish Cup match at Pittodrie.

In four previous meetings there have been two draws and two Motherwell wins.

At Fir Park, Aberdeen have won five and lost one of the six meetings.

Neutral venues sees one draw and one Motherwell win.

Aberdeen has this afternoon recalled Mitch Megginson from his loan deal at Alloa. His loan spell was intended to run out on Sunday but with the injury crisis he will return to Pittodrie and go straight into the squad for tomorrow's Scottish Cup tie against Motherwell.

Unlike Nicky Low Mitch did not play in Alloa's cup game against Rangers and is therefore not cup tied.
