Aye, considering he used to start about 50% of our attacks! He used his keeper a lot but he was just such a good footballer he could walk out of defence with that ball at his feet or he could ping it 60 yards - see John Hewitt's first v Hearts in the 86 Cup Final. We'd have not been able to keep him and he'd be in ManU/Chelski territory with commentators foaming at the mouth about how good he is seriously for all you youngsters he really was "The best penalty box defender in the world".
