Aye, considering he used to start about 50% of our attacks!  He used his keeper a lot but he was just such a good footballer he could walk out of defence with that ball at his feet or he could ping it 60 yards - see John Hewitt's first v Hearts in the 86 Cup Final.  Dundee United suffered with the backpass rule but that's because they were always boring cunts.

Miller today?

 

We'd have not been able to keep him and he'd be in ManU/Chelski territory with commentators foaming at the mouth about how good he is

 

seriously for all you youngsters he really was  "The best penalty box defender in the world". Better, or at least as good as, Baresi
