Nick Blackman

Copied from online Retard. Not really convinced this is where our priorities lie, but happy to trust in Mr Brown's judgement.

Aberdeen boss Craig Brown hoping for reunion with Blackburn striker Nick Blackman in fresh loan deal

Jan 5 2011 By David McCarthy

CRAIG BROWN will learn today if he has succeeded in luring striker Nick Blackman from his former club Motherwell to Aberdeen.

Blackburn's on-loan striker was a smash hit under Brown at Fir Park but that deal expired at the New Year and is unlikely to be reactivated.

The 21-year-old scored 10 goals in 15 games for Motherwell but has failed to hit the net in the four matches since Brown left for Pittodrie.

Brown has launched a bid to take Blackman to Aberdeen for the rest of the season and new Blackburn boss Steve Kean has sanctioned the move but left the final decision to the player.

Blackman is now weighing up a reunion with Brown but may decide to take the option of going on loan to an English Championship side.

Meanwhile, Serbian defender Nikola Vujadinovic's Dons loan spell at Aberdeen is set to be extended after Brown told chief executive Duncan Fraser he wanted the 24-year Udinese player to stay until the end of the season.

Fraser is now negotiating with the Serie A club.

Brown also hopes to add trialist Tony Capaldi before this weekend's Scottish Cup clash with East Fife.

The Northern Ireland international was due to train with the Dons squad for the first time yesterday but won't play in tonight's closed-doors friendly against Peterhead at Balmoor.

Well what a surprise.....Retard in talking shite shooker.

Mr Brown confirmed on STV tonight, he has no intention of attempting to lure Blackman to Pittodire

someone better tell the BBC that

BBC Scotland take all their web info from the Retard/Herald/Chick(fuckwit)Young

no chance Brown's just being coy?

I think Brown knows we are "ok" in the forward department, wages needed for MF and Defence

EDIT: Unless he's going to swap Velicka ;D

I think a 9th attacker on the books would be something only McGhee would do.

Interview on RedWeb says he has asked Blackburn to consider sending him up here on loan IF thats what Blackburn want to do. They may choose to sell him instead which would probably be to a championship club

apparently he was being coy then

it shoud be a case of quality over quantity though

vernon and maguire are good, yes, but even then maguire is possibly leaving in a few months for free, so we may take a fee for him soon

add to that a list of players who can "get tae": Mackie, Velicka, Paton

leaves us with Magennis who needs a lot of work and untried young Mitch?

Daily Express reporting today that we have got Blackman on loan. Think he's signed a new contract at Blackburn, but the've put him out on loan.

Blackman lined up for Aberdeen FC loan deal

Brown sweats over striker

ABERDEEN FC were today waiting to hear if Nick Blackman is to become Craig Brown’s third signing since coming to Pittodrie.

Aberdeen FC boss Brown is also working to bring in a midfielder ahead of Saturday’s Scottish Cup clash with East Fife.

Brown has already secured defenders David McNamee and Myles Anderson on short-term deals.

They're also claiming we're going for Alan Gow aka The Gowser.

Correction, Gowsur!

Correction, Gowsur!

He can win us shree points on his own.

Very surprised by this. He obviously doesn't rate Paton, Magennis, Megginson or Mackie if there's another young lad coming in. Really think we need to concentrate on the defence and midfield...

I see Barry Robson's not getting a game for Boro, apparently Mowbray wants rid, again.

Worth a cheeky loan bid?

Robson's over-rated but I think he'd do a job for us. Doubt we could afford his wages though.

Kind of odd given the plethora of forwards we have, but I guess if Brown rates him that highly and Blackburn are picking up the tab then fair enough. Mind you, given that game time is already at a premium for the likes of Magennis, Megginson and Paton, it's hard to see them developing and having much of a future.

Shree, is the magic nummer!

Being reported in papers and radio he has agreed to loan.

At AFC?

No convinced we need him but presumably he is better than we have so fair enough.

Might see Paton, Velicka, Magennis drop down the order even more.

He probably is better than we have but I'm assuming there will be more in/out to address where we are short.

I think Paton has more to offer out wide. The season where he impressed he was out wide cutting in. He's better running at defenders and he can't really do that in our team up top.
