Yes, if Calderwood/McGhee/Pele/Ebbe/Jimmy Phillips/Richard Donald/Angus The Bull is speaking about contract negotiations and singing possibilities then yes, they are to blame for it becoming public knowledge. Both managers have not incurred my wrath. I don't lose any sleep over it. Would you care to elaborate on why you put 'their boss' in there? Who's immune from criticism? I do not really remember calderwood discussing transfer targets until he had either signed them or they had given him a definate no. I wish he had with Dave Bus though. Plymouth could have had him. Willie Miller and Alec McLeish did that deal and yes it was a surprise, coming out the blue. What we should've done is have offered them renewals last summer with a deadline of 3 months to sign. They should subsequently be well on the way to being sold. Too fucking late, again. Your long running opposition to anything WM (aside from his playing career) is very much in the same category. We get it. I think he, the club, the manager and every other manager will almost always be negotiating from a position of weakness when a player does well in a season. It becomes progressively harder to keep a player when others want to pay them much more than we can afford. Of course there is the posturing from the club about "not getting fucked about" but they are hardly likely to say the opposite though are they, even when it's likely to be true? The 27-year-old Scotland cap is out of contract at the end of the season and he has other potential suitors. "I definitely haven't ruled out staying," he told BBC Scotland after helping the Dons defeat Hearts 3-0. "I'm enjoying my football at Aberdeen and I feel we're reaping the rewards for our hard work this season." Miller spent a productive spell on loan with Hearts from Bristol City in 2005 and arrived at Pittodrie from Dundee United the year after. But he says that, while talks with his current club are continuing, focusing on his current form is his priority. Lee Miller is a very good striker, but he plays for Aberdeen Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo "At the moment, I just need to concentrate on that and hopefully I can get as many good results and goals as I can for Aberdeen just now," said Miller. "The contract situation is ongoing just now." Miller returned from a three-match SPL suspension on Wednesday, with 16-year-old Fraser Fyvie replacing Dundee United's David Goodwillie as the league's youngest-ever goalscorer when he hit the opener. Dons boss Mark McGhee also gave a debut to 18-year-old Nicky Low in what is shaping up to be a productive season for the club in terms of blooding young talent. The likes of Peter Pawlett and Michael Paton have also had breakthrough campaigns. And Miller reckons there are more to come, with the likes of Ryan Jack and Mitchel Megginson also on the fringes of the first team. "There's another handful coming through and I think that's the way forward for us," said the striker. "Young Fraser getting that record is credit to him and it's credit to the young boys for taking their chance and to the manager for bringing them in. "They're reaping the rewards now. We've got everything in place here and, with this result, hopefully we can kick-on." Hearts have beaten Aberdeen to the signing of Falkirk defender Darren Barr this month on a pre-contract agreement for next season, but manager Csaba Laszlo was playing down the prospects of bringing in Miller during January. "We were very happy to get Darren Barr for the future, but we need someone for up front," the Hearts manager told BBC Scotland. "We only have another few days to get someone, but I still hope we can get a striker in. "Lee Miller is a very good striker, but he plays for Aberdeen. "I don't believe in miracles and I don't know if we'll manage to sign anyone." With captain Mark Kerr, defender Charlie Mulgrew and midfielder Gary McDonald also out of contract at the end of the season, the club's fans face a nervy few months to see if they will commit. Centre-half Zander Diamond - who returned to action as a second half substitute at Tynecastle after six months out - is hopeful all will stay. "Collectively, we want everyone to stay together and maintain this team because it would be a shame if it broke up now," he told BBC Scotland. "It's not just Lee Miller, we want everyone to stay as we have a great platform of players here and have a nucleus of young players. "If we can get one or two more in, it would strengthen the squad. I'm sure Lee has many options and it's up to him what he does now. "Hopefully, we can keep the seasoned pros here and we can help the young boys who are in the team come on."
