If we get through our qualifier, I'd imagine we'd get a brilliant turn out at the away game for the First Round as it looks as though it may be our last, we'll probably be seeded and there is a lot of good teams in there.

you're confusing matters with your use of First round.

We enter at the 3rd Qualifying Round, we will be seeded.

Then the final qualifying round, 4th Qualifying Round, where it is unlikely we will be seeded, but there is a small chance we could be seeded if there are enough shocks.

In the third qualifying round the draw is not regionalised as it used to be so we could draw any of these teams:

Oh, I thought it was a First Round.

Never mind.

Still, a lot of tricky ties in there.

I'm sure it used to be called the 'first round proper' up until last year, or at least referred to as that. New league set up, new names.

Obviously this depends on us beating Sigma but lets have a bit of positivity for a change.

To be seeded in the next round we need to be in the top 38 coefficents.

If the seeds all go through in this round we will be 41st seeds (This also presumes that the seeds in the Champs League qualifier win, as the losers drop into the UEFA Cup)

So basically we are looking for 3 shocks in this round and for no shocks in the Champs League.

Tonight sees the Champs League games, these are they games that could effect our seeding if the unseeded team wins therefore we want the teams in bold to win:

FC Salzburg v. Dinamo Zagreb

Slovan Bratislava v. Olympiakos Piraeus

FC Zurich v. NK Maribor

APOEL Nicosia v. Partizan Belgrade

FK Aktobe v. Maccabi Haifa

Shakhtar Donetsk v. FC Timisoara

Celtic v. Dinamo Moscow

Anderlecht v. Sivasspor

Sheriff Tiraspol v. Slavia Praha

FK Baku v. Levski Sofia

FC København v. Stabak IF

Then in the UEFA Cup there are 20 teams in this round with a higher seeding than us, we need atleast three to lose: (We need the teams in bold to lose)

Fredrikstad v Lech Pozna?

NK Rijeka v Metalist Kharkiv

Gent v Roma

IFK Goteborg v Hapoel Tel Aviv

PSV Eindhoven v Cherno More

Vaduz v Slovan Liberec

Randers v Hamburg

Vojvodina v Austria Wien

CSKA Sofia v Derry City

Steaua Bucure?ti v Motherwell

Braga v Elfsborg

Rabotni?ki v Odense

Sevojno v Lille

Fenerbahce v Budapest Honved

Club Brugge v Lahti

Athletic Bilbao v Young Boys

KR v Basel

Galatasaray v Maccabi Netanya

Dinamo Tbilisi v Red Star Belgrade

V?tra v Fulham

Cheers to CaddyCarhandle on Mad who's material I basically copy and pasted.

There are alot of IFs in that one GS but there must surely be some shocks in this round. Fingers crossed because, as you said in another thread, we are putting a lot of store in what looks like a fucking big ask in the next round. Mind you, Dnipro were something like 4th favourites for UEFA when we dunted them out were they not.

Do you think the Sigma manager is printing this page of the forum out and is handing it out around the team bus as we type.

Or is it that you are implying that there is a higher force that is listening to our perceived dismissal of a lesser European advisory and is therefor determining that we shall not claim victory in this encounter. I never had you down as a religious man Nellie.

:lolabove: Good shift!

whoa, Whoa, WHOA!

GS and ajja you both need to go outside, turn around three times and spit in order to break the massive jinx your putting on us.

One round at a time, guys...

Do I have to go outside, it's chucking it down.

Will an extra spin inside make up for it.

And can I avoid spitting onto my flat floor.  I may have lived in Glasgow for 10years but I haven't picked up all the habits of the locals yet.
