(For being away first.)

Seeded teams are always away first.

Just had a quick check and Brondby, who were seeded in last seasons 1st qualifying round, were away 2nd.

Might have been for a city clash, mind, but I cba checking more.

UEFA Cup rules PDF also states ties are determined by draw and mentions nowhere about the seeded team away first.

Meh, checked a few more:

Djurgårdens IF (seeded) were away 2nd while Man City (also seeded) were away first.

I have a mate in UEFA and it's definitely not decided before the draw is made, we will play home or away

Completely selfish I know, but I want the home leg first - will be my last Aberdeen game for years as I emigrate on 1 August.

Will come home for a glory hunt if we make it to a cup final  ::)

Sure we had this discussion last year as well. I seem to remember that 50% of seeded teams are home first and 50% are away first. No pattern, just a random 50/50 split. Guess that means we have a 50% chance of getting away first  ;)

If we get though this round it would be quite fun getting Fulham. 6,000 Dandies in Trafalgar Square.

Fulham wouldn't give us 25% of their tickets

I doubt that would stop anybody going though.

As the 3rd round is before our season starts is there any chance the games could be moved to a Saturday (if the other club is agreeable) rather than a Thur?

I'd say there's almost no chance of that happening Great idea though GS

As well as the away end at Fulham they have what is called the neutrals stand which is basically and end for tourists and away fans who did not get a ticket for the away end proper. Cannot see it being a problem getting in there if we were to draw them.

6000 Aberdeen fans would not get into Craven Cottage.

I'm hoping to see the Dons fans here:

Their fans at Pittodrie would be a cracking atmosphere also.

Big who?

I'm guessing Derry City.

Indeed, the Brandywell. Utter shit hole of a stadium but great atmosphere.

In that case they would be one of my preferred opponents too.

Have I got this right....

We're definitely seeded for the 3rd qualifying round.

We don't know if we'll be at home or away in the first leg.

It is likely we'll get some smaller European team in the middle of nowhere.
