mg_don
I remember at the start of the season after Tannadice when we were all calling for Severin to played in his proper position in midfield. He went on to produce a series of inaffective performances from the centre of midfield. Nearer the end of the season he's put in some decent games at the back including last night where he was outstanding. He clearly is slow as fuck and seems to 2nd to every ball most weeks, maybe Seve will be better playing CB?
Tyrant
If he plays like last night every game, aye. Definately.
Guest bloo_toon_red
A definite selection headache given Karim Touzani has been equally as impressive in midfield. He did play very well last night and if he can maintain that kind of form, he can save us a bit of money on a new centre-back.
Snapper
Given the choice of Seve in midfield plus Considine/Mair at CB, or Touzani midfield with Seve at CB, I'd go for the latter every time.
glasgowdon
Severin at the back and have Touzani in the middle with McDonald.
manc_don
Severin at the back and have Touzani in the middle with McDonald. I'd agree with that completely. Its about time Touzani got a run in the team and Seve might just be that guy who allows Zander to continue his progress. His pace has definitely left him so I think the back would be his best position. Hopefully the game wouldn't pass him by like it does when he's in midfield. One Bobby Clark
If he's going to play Seve at the back, and if walker returns, then that what excuse will he use not to play Josh?
One Bobby Clark
Seve in defence - damn defensive tombola aye, you cannae beat a bit of tombola for excitement
jmo
If he plays like he did yesterday then yeah, but normally I don't like seeing him in defence. He sits off the attackers too much giving them space to move around.
TENEMENTFUNSTER
He's too wee most of the time and won't win an aerial battle so has to be ready for the second ball.
The Doricle
I thought seve was immense last night, if he'd been playing like that at the start of the season I reckon we'd have had third place sewn up. Duff's come on to a decent game recently when he's been played further forward too IMO.
