For us tae get in Europe we need them tae win every game, but am wonderin if ye wid sacrifice that to see them lose the league, UEFA Cup and Scottish Cup?

 

Oor best chance o' gettin in Europe is for them to have the league wrapped up before they come to Pittodrie on the last day, so that they can rest players for the finals and have a better chance o' victory.

 

Granted the two cup finals dinnae hae any bearing on our league position, but if they could win the league before the last day they'd be able to rest players givin them a better chance in the two cup finals.

 

So, would ye be happy tae see them win the quadruple so we can get in Europe, or wid ye rather they won fuck all else, and we didnae mak it into the UEFA next year?

I'd be willing to wager the people that would rather Rangers lost than us get in to Europe have something wrong with them and/or didn't make it to any European away games.

 

 

I wouldn't necessarily say that, it's just a very very sad indictment of the mindset of a sizeable weak-minded section of our support.

 

Just for the benefit of the tape, I'm talking solely about games that affect AFC, ie their remaining league games.  They can do what they like in the other competitions, I'd be completely unperturbed if they won the UEFA Cup, wont affect me one bit.

Maybe our European winning escapades in the 80's are just lost on the younger generation, and they don't realise how much being the last Scottish side to win in Europe means to some people. Rangers win this Cup and we'll never ever hear the end of it.

Sorry but have to disagree here i think they have every chance of winning the bloody thing. I think they are more concerned about losing the league and thats why they want the game this w/end to be cancelled. If they dont win the league no automatic champions league position.

 

But they have a big enough squad to be rotating the squad and letting some of the players rest. They only have themselves to blame for cancelling some of the games earlier.
