I'll be at it.

I feel I have to go as we are toiling and I don't like it when we are on the ropes.

The players and directors can all go fuck themselves though, but the club is bigger and better than any of those clowns.

I've stated before that I don't think Leven picks the team and our issues are way more deep rooted than him.

Why do you think he doesn’t pick the team? I assume you think lutz does?

Unless something changes through the week the OP has nailed the outcome of the game. At least 5 changes and lots of passing between the backline before they inevitably score from their first shot after a simple ball over the top. Then we crumble.

When Leven was last in charge, he kept things simple and it worked. We were well organised and competed on the pitch, with players knowing their roles.

It just feels different this time around, especially with our line ups and tactics and also the shoehorning of the January signings into the team, which hasn't improved us one bit.

As shyte as our squad is, I just felt both Leven and Tony D would have got more of a tune out of them, if allowed to do their jobs and at least have us do the basics right.

I just feel our sporting director is more of an influence than we think, but going on nothing more than gut feeling.

That’s pretty much my gut feel as well. This has a different feel to previous spells with Leven in charge. Coukd be way off the mark but I suspect our Director of Football is the reason behind that.

Different player pool.

Doesn't really matter. He needs to be sacked.

I'm starting to think the penguin guy is a numpty. He still hasn't picked a new manager and all the players he signed in January have been shiite.

No doubt if he ever gets us a new manager, then he will also be shite.

Impressive cheek blowing from Lutz.

For me the most telling thing in that photo is that Devlin is sitting so far removed from the two other players when there is a vacant seat beside them.

It smacks of a worrying lack of esprit de corps. You could have the best players in the world but without that you're going to struggle.

How do you pick a team for this game???? You're basically pissing into the wind regardless of which numpties you select. For me it has to be back to the very basics and go for rigidity over any plans of attack. So with that I'd go a back 5 with 4 (in a diamond) in midfield and 1 up top.

Mitov

Jensen, Milne, Nilsen, McIntyre, Molloy

Shinnie (C), Geiger, Cameron, Aremu

Olusanya

Shinnie has proved time and time again that he can't play games in quick succession but with a week in between games then hopefully he's ok. Still never a captain in my opinion and should be his last season with us but until he leaves he at least usually shows more desire than the other 10 players on the pitch.

Armstrong can gtf as far as I'm concerned, one of the worst signings we've made in recent years given the hype around his arrival.

No point trying to play with wingers as we don't have any. Keskinen has been a complete waste of a sizeable outlay and Milanovic & Bilalovic are a waste of a jersey.

Have Aremu as the sitting mid, Cameron as the furthest forward & Shinnie/Gieger playing between them.

Olusanya at least has pace and can be a handy outball whereas Nisbet comes far too deep which leaves us with no one up top if we break.

Suman, Lobban, Frame, Nisbet, Palaversa, Morrison, Lazetic, Kjartansson as the subs.

I'm more bothered about who's picking it than how they pick it.

If Leven is still here they can poke it.

My loon says he was told today by someone he knows who works at the club that Lutz is indeed picking the team.

Wouldn’t be remotely surprised, as others have said the selections etc have borne no resemblance to how Leven did it before.

Also a massive red flag about Lutz if true as well as the selection last night was diabolical.

If this is the case, then if I was Leven I’d resign tomorrow. It’s not doing his job prospects elsewhere any good being the figurehead / sacrificial lamb (delete as appropriate) for this shit show…

I don’t buy this. Who in their right mind takes a managers job knowing he doesn’t pick the team. Youve got nothing to gain there, and let’s just say you do well and are up for a future head coaches job, do you tell them you didn’t actually pick the team?? He may be getting input but I have to believe Leven has the final say.

ill also add, who knows the squad better, Leven or lutz, and who has coached us before. Lutz picking the team makes no sense. Has he even been a manager/coach before??

loads of people losing it at present given the situation, and plenty of chat going around, some maybe true, others complete nonsense.

I don't believe that for a second.

Couldn’t care less if you believe it or not, just passing on what my loon said, & I know who it is he’s talking about as the source & he’s got no reason to make stuff up either…

Hey man, not an attack on you at all, just heard it a few times now, and I personally think it’s another over reaction to the shit state we’re in right now.

For the record, my opinion on Lutz picking the team is exactly that, an opinion and I've said it since Jimmy got punted.

At this moment we are wide open to over reaction, as we are a complete shitshow on the park.

We’ve made the decision to be the only club on the planet to trial football without a manager and all our players are shite

It makes no difference who’s picking the team

Could it not be a bit of both? Lutz has (or had) identified the new manager, who had presented his style of play and formation, so Lutz has asked Leven to try and work that in so that we're on a better footing for next season. He may also have asked him to play some of the new signings to get a feel for them ahead of the summer window. So not actually picking the team, but interfering a little with a view to next season. I would expect that to fade out as we get closer to the end of the season and a new manager is appointed.

It's actually only Geiger that's currently getting minutes that might have a slim chance of being here next season anyway. The rest are all loans that will return, and were stop gap signings made to cover injuries. Aremu got a couple of starts, which was completely understandable in the role he's expected to be able to play eventually. Nilsen is probably the only player that can feel aggrieved at the lack of minutes at the moment, as it's his role in midfield that is being taken by both Geiger and Aremu.

I think the more likely explanation for it seeming like Leven isn't picking the team is that we're a squad that is really low on quality and depth, and he's scrambling around a little because every time he picks a side they go out and fail.

Personally, I'd be picking Shinnie and Nilsen in midfield with Cameron or Armstrong ahead, either in a 4-2-3-1, or in a 3-4-1-2, depending on whether or not he feels Olusanya can be trusted wide or not.
