Waiting to here about extra tickets?

Leaving it late if they are giving us more.

There are still plenty of tickets available in the area that went on sale to ‘home’ fans at 10am yesterday. I’m not too sure how easy it is to get them if you don’t have a buying history at East End as my sons are Pars fans and I live in Dunfermline.

I would imagine that there will be a few Dandies in the main stand on Saturday evening.

There's going to be total carnage. I'm too old for all that now. Red Army will be pished and ecstatic.

Good combo.

Surely the trick is to pretend you're a "home fan".

"Hello, my name is Elgin Don, and I love the pars. Could I purchase a ticket to see the pars this weekend please? I love Craig Brewster and Stevie Crawford. Until they joined those horrible reds from Aberdeen of course, I hate those guys. Neil Lennon is a wonderful man, who I have nothing but respect for."

Exactly like that yes but remember also to speak in an affected fife hillbilly accent.

Or alternatively buy online and negate the need to say anything at all.

Obviously if they require a previous purchase history you're buggered.

Unfortunately I don’t know if you need a previous buying history to get them online. There systems might not be as complex as I was able to get 5 tickets online before they were on general sale through a Pars season ticket.
I do know that home fans can also get e-tickets instead of paper ones.

If you do decide to phone, just remember to call the person who answers ‘neebour’ and you should be fine, yeh ken!

Any advice on the best place to get parked coming from and back to the Aberdeen area? Been about 20 years since I've been.

There is a large car park on Leys Park Road near the police station. It’s only a few minutes walk to the ground but is the opposite end from the away stand and can get a bit gridlocked when trying to leave.

There should be on street parking in the side streets in the Garvock Hill area opposite the main stand. Be careful about parking on the pavement as the council brought in a ban last year. They usually don’t bother about it at night, but I wouldn’t put it past Fife Council sending wardens out on Saturday knowing it will be busy and lots of people from out of town arriving.

If you don’t mind walking a wee bit there is the big retail park at Halbeath beside Asda. It’s maybe a half hour walk from the ground (you can stop for a drink at The Elizabethan which will probably be full of Dandies) but it’s only a couple of minutes from the M90.

Nice one thanks. I absolutely love a trip to a new ASDA, such beautiful buildings, so I'll likely opt for the last one. Looking forward to it.

ASDA's pretty much stock the same things nationwide but the big difference I noticed in the Dunfermline branch was their men's clothing range is named Ken instead of George.

Will be in the Elizabethan from around 3pm trying to block out the events planned circa 19:45 onwards. Expect it’ll be doors closed from about 5pm, wall to wall red army. COYR.

Match highlights away to be shown on BBC Scotland for anyone who wasn't at the game.

Watch it without any preconceptions and you'll see we're actually a decent side now. If we don't win all of our post split games I'll be amazed.

There'll be no VAR for this game, which is a surprise because usually it's a requirement for televised games at this stage of the competition. But, will add to the traditional cup tie feel.

It'll be ten times better then. VAR is an absolute pox.

Last time we won the Scottish Cup, we knocked out Dunfermline on the way.

It's coming hame again.

They were holders when we drew them in 68-69. The Saturday date at Pittodrie was called off due to the weather, so it was hurriedly arranged for the Monday evening, where it ended in a draw.

The fixture backlog was so bad, that the replay was scheduled for the following evening in Dunfermline. Ally Shewan sustained a broken toe on the Monday evening, but just got the club doctor to give him an injection and he played as usual.

Tough as fuck Proper Mannies’ left back.

No fannies in our squad then.

Davie Robb scored twice to put us through, unexpectedly, because we’d had a poor season (we finished 15th in an 18-club league, as I recall).

We beat Killie 3-0 at Rugby Park in the quarter final after a 0-0 draw, but fucked up badly in the semi-final at Parkheid, where the dead zombie liquidated cunts of hell and several surrounding postal code areas gave us a 6-1 doing.

As fresh in my mind as if it was yesterday, but I hivna a clue where my specs are.

My first memories of a Cup game at East End Park was in the late 70s. I was in the main stand with my Dad (as I will be on Saturday).

A solitary goal from Joe Harper put us through but my abiding recollection of the game was a constant stream of supporters being led out of the stadium by the police as it was all going off on the terraces opposite.
