We would be better off going after and trying to sign Susan fkn Boyle ffs 🙄

I'm nae wanting any more die hard Tims at the club.

Graham & Watson are a completely different proposition to O'Hara or Mandarin 😉

Absolutely! My point is that there are good players in our league that can do a job for us. Those two will move on to bigger and better things, but I’d expect O’Hara and Martin to be an upgrade on palaversa and yengi for example, theyd improve our squad.

i think it’s a fair comparison with those two and devlin. By no means glamor signings but could certainly do a job for us. We pretty much need an entire new team that adding some players who are SPL proven and have a history with our manager is worth something.

I see Geiger is reported as being the highest earner in the league by scott burns. None of this would surprise me given the league he came from (and pedigree). Shame we won’t be able to keep him but we can’t justify that outlay.

Even higher than what the uglies are paying their big earners?

I'd assume we're paying a huge chunk of his wage too.

Rumour was we were paying over £10k per week, in wages, for Karlsson, so a case of one out and one in.

I expect a frugal approach in the upcoming transfer window, which possibly might be a good thing.

I am taking a punt on this masel.
Think Robinson might have went there to have a closer look at Jeremiah Chilokoa - Mullen.
Nae a scooby if he is any use but he was a noticable absentee from the Pars line-up and a regular starter for Scotland U21's

Replying in this thread rather than the match thread, some analytics on him here (below). Out of contract, just captained them in their semi-final, Scotland U21 international, best position on the right of a back three. All sounds promising. Hopefully we don't end up in a battle with any other clubs for his signature, but that might be fanciful thinking.

Cheers Panda (hope you are well min)
Was having a deep dive into trying to figure out who the mystery player might have been, that Robinson has admitted he traveled to the game to have a closer look at. And Mullen does seem to be a contender here.
I know sweet fk all about him at all (other than what I have now read on wiki and the likes)
I would not be against giving him a go.
And I just canna see any other potential "target" that SR was hoping to see who never featured in Tuesday night's game at any point at all.

Wouldn’t mind seeing O’Hara and the two scottish boys mentioned from dunfermline. As I’ve said before, I value Scottish influence in the squad and we have an aging shinnie (who I’d offer a new one year) and Armstrong, devlin too, Cameron back to rangers, prefer not to retain Morrison.

ohara for experience/leadership, adding Tod and chilikoa-Mullen, lobban, frame, Milne, nisbet. That’s a decent Scottish group. With the other youngsters in the squad, the focus then has to be on talented experienced pros who’d walk into our starting 11.
another slightly older than id like, but Ryan Gauld’s contract expires Jan 2027, and he’s 31 in December. Wonder if he’d come home on a two year deal?? Think he’s settled over here and doing well so an extension likely, but worth asking??

Ah'd be tempted tae keep Morrison .... at least as a squad player, and for sake o' continuity .... Ah reckon he has mair tae offer than has shown thus far. ... surely a better bet than a gamble on some 'unknown' takin' time tae gel in such a vital position.

We have knoester and molloy on the left side, and Milne and tobers on the right side. We need one or two pollock/ryan porteous types who’ll head anything that comes into the box. While Morrison isn’t bad, he’s more of what we have rather than what we really need in my opinion. We need commanding penalty box leaders, physical vocal and aerial in my opinion.

Aye, yer right .... but ..... if we keep playin' a back 3/5 ... we need 10 in the squad (injury cover for the 5 and hopefully one or two within that number fa can cover def mid) .... and one for luck! ...

At the same time, we need tae be developin' the 'development' squad .... Ah think Morrison looks like a good bet tae bridge that gap ... also entertainin' the possibilty he can develop as a first XI 'stick on'.

Quotin' masel here tae add .... we could slim the squad by prioritisin' 'versatile' players ... but we aa ken how that pans oot ;)

Willie Miller says we should look to sign Liam Morrison permanently.

And if He says it shall be so, then it shall be so.

Morrison has some big flaws. It's fairly clear that we have to play a back three if he's in it, to make up for those. That's fine, but it then means that wingers won't be a thing either. I think Milne has the potential to be better than Morrison over time, and I'd be inclined to stick with him as the development player.

Where is all this talk of signing Morrison coming from ?

Thought he was on a long term contract at QPR and would imagine he would not only command a fee but also potentially be on a decent wedge.

IMHO value for money is questionable
