  1. What a goal fae Lewis Smith for Livi. Edit: get him signed
  2. He's never looked particularly good against us (think he has scored, but so has everyone), but otherwise has looked decent. He's probably better than Dabbagh and Sokler, so don't see why not. Be interesting to see if he could do it as a sub for the most part.
  3. 2-0 now. Horrendous mistake by Kelly, who is normally a pretty good midfielder. County to survive another playoff by the looks of it.
  4. Nice goal puts County 1-0 (2-1) up in the playoffs
  5. Hopefully the lads in recruitment are still pished, and we spunk some wild levels of cash in the next couple of days. We've all done it.
  6. Even if they just need me for one game to absolutely nail Connor Barron, that'd be fine. I'd likely break my own legs in the process, but they've had a good run.
  7. Aye, I just found it exhausting! I noticed that the shiteshow down South had games on yesterday. I don't know/care when they moved it, but not having the FA cup final on the last day is absolutely rank. Talk about devaluing the competition. I couldn't imagine having the weekend we just had, and then heading to Paisley (or wherever) next weekend for a league match. Anyway, that is just one of the many reasons that English football is for cunts.
  8. Fantastic. Unforgettable. Great to hear Shinnie too. Legs have gone, never a leader etc etc. Get it up yis, anyone who ever spouted that trite, cliched pish. First up for the pens, and smashes it in the top corner. Proper fucking captain. Not said much on the game since Saturday, it was too unbelievable, but we were immense to a man. Even lads like Keskinen, who didn't have a great game, Nisbet too, worked their arses off. Devlin was fucking ace (and I was so pleased to see him playing left back instead of Jensen - who was brilliant on Maeda - as he keeps things simple and is relentless in marking his man), as were the rest of the back line, especially top Dandy: Milne. Was surprised when Clarkson came off, but Palaversa worked his arse off. Every change was spot on from Thelin, and at the right time. Polvara coming on to play out of position, Tobers did well, MacKenzie solid and positionally excellent, and Gueye and Dabbagh ran themselves into the ground and challenged for everything. Thon Morris lad did alright too. Was sitting next to Brian Irvine, and he looked fairly nervous before the pens! I was certain we were winning it when it went into pens. Our keeper was/is miles better, with Schmeichel looking tiny in the goals, comparitively. I don't really care about next season now. A much needed break from fitba.
  9. He'll probably be second choice now, after they ditch thon useless Danish cunt.
  10. I'm a relative youngster on this board. I play fives still, although my knees would prefer I didn't after a few bad injuries!
  11. I'm in that een. Edit: next to the Palestinians.
  12. I even wore an old red strip (saltire energy one) I found that I didn't realise I had, I don't normally wear strips unless playing. Still fit perfectly, such is my athletic figure.
  13. I think the coach might have been for families and the like. Also, I think someone collapsed in front of the bus at one point (I think they were fine), and I wondered if they had thought that maybe being right behind the bus would be the quickest way to get to anyone in an emergency? Or the paramedics are just massive fucking Dandies and blagged their way to a front seat at the parade.
  14. Pfft. Bloody cringe worthy shite. I've got hay fever, and that's the only reason why my eyes are bloodshot watching it. And I chopped some onions on Thursday too.
  15. Useless bastards could have driven the bus forward and extra ten yards so that those on Union Street could see it! A good few thousand couldn't see the bus, and I noticed some leaving. Better not happen next year. Good to see so many Dons fans out for it. Great to see all the players enjoying it, even those leaving (McGrath getting "Hibs are falling apart, again" at him was mildly amusing).
  16. Hope all you central belters are able to make the street parade at short notice! Great to see folk on the bridges all the way up the road to Aberdeen last night waving Dons flags. Top effort. Will take the kids to Union street today. Never know when the next one might be (I'm not even sure you have one for winning the Europa league?).
  17. You could always go and watch Hearts in the league cup group stages.
  18. Aye, it's in the bag. Devlin ghosting in at the back post to score the winner, after coming back from a goal down (2-1).
  19. Sounds like he might have had it on the burner for a few weeks. Apparently Motherwell were helping him with his ongoing family situation whilst there, so it'd make sense that he would have put feelers oot. There are always plenty of gigs going in fitba.
  20. Hope it's an image of a giant seat being aimed at the Tims.
  21. McTominay scores for Napoli in their title decider.
  22. Agree with all that, apart from the Clarkson part. He's been very good for the last few months and he's getting fitter and fitter. I think we're going to have the player we all expected next season and he'll definitely be one of a pair of midfielders, rather than advanced. On your other point, you missed the part where it suddenly flips and foreign players and managers are a problem. It took us years to get over Skovdhal, and it remains to be seen whether Scotland will have shaken the Vogts memories post Clarke. There's probably a cyclical wave form somewhere. It's frustrating, because we arbitrarily segregate managers (players to a lesser degree) into these ridiculous groups, and then suggest we appoint on that basis rather than attributes or abilities. We need a foreign/young (always preceded by "hungry")/experienced manager as if they are three homogeneous groups. In a similar vein, we had many comments on here about all the foreign players we were missing out on when McInnes was in charge, where foreign was simply synonymous with good. I think you're right about Thelin's foreignness buying him time, but the actions of Cormack have helped in that regard too. He has been clear about "the project". The most frustrating part about that is that he could have done exactly the same with the previous three managers to buy them time too, but he chose not to. Both Glass and Robson had fairly clear ways in which they wanted to play football, but it was never labelled a project from the very start, which all three previous managers were. The erratic approach to transfers and the lack of support team consistency (still no technical director) clearly indicated a wider project. I still don't think we've got it right off field, and I'm still not convinced we have the budget to make Thelin's plan a success, and I don't think we'll be any closer to finding out by the time he moves on and we follow Hearts down the route of experienced (I think it is experienced's turn!) manager, to "steady the ship".
  23. What I had in mind was Clarkson sitting in behind Shinnie and Palaversa and going direct to Gueye, with Shinnie and Palaversa picking up the scraps. A throwback to Robson era, without the back three. When they have the ball, Shinnie and Palaversa drop to form a block. If we get caught upfield, Clarkson's job is to slow them down until the midfield gets back, rather than engage. The only downside I can see is Palaversa not lasting 60 minutes.
  24. Sounds like the perfect ruse. I'd say that half our squad need a proper preseason at this point. I think you might be right about lack of changes, and I think that'd be a mistake. Their tactic of having a player on the touchline with a lot of space to run at the fullback needs to be counteracted. They draw the fullback in narrow by overloading with a fullback and midfielder centrally, so that the winger has a free run, one-on-one with Shinnie (or whoever). I'm thinking a 4-5-1 might be the best bet. A midfield three, with McGrath and Keskinen the wide players. A thankless task for the one up front, but probably a necessity.
