  1. Tonight that was exposed big time. Can't judge the ball in the air either.
  2. Made a few mistakes but had a great block save in the first half then reacted quickly to get rid of the ball and had an awesome save from a free kick at 4-1. EDIT: Wouldn't blame him for any goals on one viewing.
  3. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/8177523.stm Sounds like they've had a roasting, and not of the usual kind associated with professional footballers. We got that on the park tonight.
  4. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Paul Bernard was a very accomplished player and i'm 99% sure if he hadn't had a Jamie Smith like amount of injuries we'd have been selling on a Scotland international at profit.
  5. Imagine if we had kept Jess and kept Bernard fit. would there have been a better centre midfield in Scottish football at the time?
  6. Mymate played with him in the 17's and said he was terrible and that the feeling was he was only there because of his old man. When O'Leary got homesick we were forced to keep Consi on when he had been told he was pretty much done.
  7. There was a moment tonight where Considine took a terrible first touch, they're player expected a good touch and went to his left so Considine strolled past him. Took on another player and all was looking good. He then misplaces a 5 yard pass to Miller and stands and points the finger at Miller. That shit really annoys me.
  8. Surely no worse than Considine or Duff though?
  9. The first was an error, no one picked up the man and he ahd a free header which Langfield saved before some cunt scored. From where I sat the 2nd goal never looked a free kick. Boy put it away well.
  10. I would say it was individual errors rather than tactics that lost us the game tonight. We did play some good stuff in spells but it was still a poor performance.
  11. Aberdeen 'true legend' Brian Irvine was there. That made me laugh.
  12. Nicked from the hat. Richard Foster: Aberdeen will play football the right way with Mark McGhee in charge Jul 30 2009 Ian Orr RICKY FOSTER last night put the boot into Jimmy Calderwood when he insisted the football is so much better at Pittodrie now the Tinkerman's gone. The versatile defender infamously branded the former Aberdeen boss stupid in a trainingground bust-up and looked to be on his way out until he apologised for his outburst. Now Foster has had another pop at Calderwood. He has questioned his chopping and changing - and claimed successor Mark McGhee will leave supporters salivating by playing the game the right way. The 23-year-old, who is in McGhee's squad for tonight's first-leg qualifier against Sigma Olomouc, said: "The manager likes to play 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 whereas the old gaffer changed things up a bit more. "If we go with three up top it will be more attacking and excite the fans further. We have played very good football in pre-season and are playing out from the back a lot more. "The mood is really good and we have enjoyed our training. "I am happy to be in the team and wherever the manager likes me to play I will be happy to play there every week and get some consistency. But if guys are playing in the same role every week they become comfortable, more confident and better." Foster is adamant the experience the Dons gained in reaching the UEFA Cup last 32 two years ago will give them an edge against Sigma. He said:"You can't replace the games we had two years ago.The experience and atmosphere of the last run was tremendous and they were the highlights of my career. We went to Madrid to play Atletico and faced Bayern Munich. "These were great nights and fantastic memories. The movement these players have is terrific and it is so hard to track them for the whole 90 minutes. "This year we have an extra qualifying round but we are looking for a positive result to take into the away leg and progress in the tournament. "I haven't heard much about the Czechs but they will be well organised, technically good and able to pass a lot. And I don't know how attack-minded they will be at Pittodrie. "We will have to break them down but we believe we can do that. The only draw we can hope for here is 0-0 which would be the worst- case scenario. We need to win this leg. "However, we need the fans to support us and get us through this tie. Hopefully, with this being the manager's first game here the fans will come out and back him and the players. "We've heard about the financial situation and it means we probably won't get as many players in as the manager had hoped but we all have contracts here so it won't affect us." Defensive linchpin Zander Diamond is expected to pass a late fitness test while Sone Aluko has shrugged off a knock and will start.
  13. According to the group of tims who cornered me for a football conversation in Malia it is his fault and this season they're winning the lot, and in style
  14. Because unfortunately no cunt sings it or seems to be fired up by it.
  15. Paying for tickets and strips should be more than enough in my opinion. Good effort from them though.
  16. This come from a decent source like?
  17. Doddsy with a great finish though. Still remember his post match interview where he says "it's about time I had a bit of luck". Maybe a truer word was never spoken.
