I think (not sure) that there'll be no domestic football for two weeks. With the international break coming at the end of the month, that would mean no domestic football until October. So chances are that our next game v Rangers will actually be the one scheduled in for Ibrox on 29 October. And our next game is actually the return of Derek McInnes to Pittodrie on 1 October. All just speculation of course. But her funeral isn't for another 10 days and I can't see games going ahead before then.

As for Saturday, Rangers' main strength is Kent creating space for Barisic down that left hand side, who then puts in crosses for Colac. Richardson hasn't been good defensively so far this season, and I fear Rangers will target him. Would have said McCrorie to right back, but with Clarkson now banned and Barron injured it leaves us a bit short in midfield, unless we pitch Polvara in.
-
On the contrary, we had a very good team, and our weak point was defence. The strength of the league overall was also weaker than it is now. You'll never convince me he is or was a good player, because for every good thing you'll find he did, I'll find five bad ones.
-
No, the correct thing to do would be to drop deep behind your team-mate and between the two attacking players. He did neither, he ran towards the ball. Because he's an idiot. Whether he's better than Stewart or not is neither here nor there. Even if he was twice the player of Stewart he is still not a good player.

Completely disagree on Taylor. Throw a ball into the box and he'd head it away. But when a team played through Aberdeen he was constantly out of position, made the wrong decisions as to who to pick up, made rash challenges, and his passing was poor. "He's had a great start to the season with Killie". Two examples for the prosecution.. First, his "forgivable" red card. He gets caught out of position, is never going to make the ball, lunges in and leaves his team down to 10 men early in the game. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/62788961 Second, at Ibrox, as the screenshots will show. He begins in the right position, has Colak covered, but then after Colak makes the pass - despite clearly seeing his team-mate had it covered - he chases after the ball like a little puppy excited by the big white thing, Rangers play an easy one-two, Taylor is now no-where near his man and it's a goal. It sums up his stupidity which constantly annoyed me at Aberdeen and I'm glad he's Kilmarnock's problem these days.

Ha ha. Funny. John Beaton refereeing this game means he will have taken charge of four of the last six Dons/Rangers games. Which is odd in itself, but when you consider Aberdeen actually made a complaint to the SFA about him after one of those games, and in all three he has had controversial decisions in favour of the team it's no secret he supports, it seems very peculiar.

Wait, we're 8 points behind. Does that mean even with a win on Saturday our title race is done? Well that's depressing.

Time will tell if it has been a good transfer window. Goalkeeper: Have we improved? Is Roos better than Lewis? Defence: Coulson, Stewart & Scales look good. Richardson ropy, and the promise of all these assists he would get hasn't materialised yet. But at the moment, any improvement in defence appears more down to it being fully fit. We're a Scales injury away from having to rearrange the team to cope, and having players out of position just like last season. Midfield: I think the jury is out on everyone bar Hayes. It's easy to look impressive v 10-man Livi & St Mirren. The next three games (County, Rangers, Hibs) will show us how good our midfield really is. Striker: Miovski & Duk are scoring. Again though, let's see the next three games. We've got a team in place that should be better then last season, but that should be a given. The task is to be an improvement on the last four seasons.

He said: "Make it make sense please. There are two sides to every story, that’s all for now." Not only has he deleted the tweet, he's now deleted his twitter & (I think) his Instagram.
-
Also, another one from Jim Goodwin that will likely bite him on the arse. Says Ramirez to Hearts is a no-go because doesn't want to loan to rivals, then loans McLennan to St Johnstone, essentially suggesting they're not good enough to be our rivals. St Johnstone will be sticking that on the dressing room wall ahead of their next visit.
-
Yeh, some of the stick he's getting on Twitter is unwarranted in my opinion. He's generally kept quiet this summer, he wants to play and isn't even considered a squad player, yet apparently he's a drama queen for one deleted tweet. If he was shite I wouldn't care, but he's actually proved to be a very effective goalscorer. The whole situation is utterly bizarre.

Cheeky. https://www.afc.co.uk/2022/09/01/david-bates-departs-the-dons/ Surely another defender on his way in..
-
Appears STV were wrong, Goodwin has rubbished the Moult rumours too. My blood pressure is just about returned to normal. Goodwin says he wants Bates and Ramirez to stay preferably, but McLennan has been told it's time to move on.
-
According to STV, Aberdeen are after Louis Moult (remember him?). Has scored nine goals in the five years since he left Motherwell. Exciting. Edit: Goodwin has rubbished the Ramirez to Hearts stuff.
-
Goodwin's semi-final record ain't exactly a glowing one either.
-
It's setting up nicely for Goodwin v McInnes at Hampden.
-
Okay fine, Aberdeen you're forgiven.
-
3-1. Shame on all of you who panicked too early and doubted us.
-
Annan's current run of form Albion Rovers 2-2 East Kilbride 1-1 Stirling 1-2 Dumbarton 0-4 They're second bottom of League 2. We better destroy this mob in extra-time to make up for the previous 90.
-
Wonder what his username is.. And has he signed the energy crisis petition yet?
-
At the moment, sounds like we could do with Annan conceding a penalty and having a player sent off.
-
Morris on the left? Kennedy on the right. I'd have given Lewis the run out but we all know Jim Goodwin reads this forum and obviously others were more persuasive than me. Glad to see Mackenzie start though - totally forgot about him to be honest. 90 minutes will do him good and Coulson is one of those players who you want the cotton wool wrapped round him for three big games coming up (County, Rangers, Hibs).
-
They're of the same (actually, worse) standard of the teams we had four clean sheets against in the group stage, when the defence were all shy and vulnerable. It's now the end of August. We'll be fine. Lewis in for Roos or I we riot.
-
We're nine games into the season. Getting to know each other - birthday caird pish. It's Annan ffs. Give Lewis a run out, let Hayes have a rest, win the game by half-time and let Duk, Polvara, Duncan, Milne and Watkins have the second 45 minutes to run riot.
-
What's he on about? It IS the best Aberdeen team ever. Shame Motherwell didn't find that same energy against Sligo... https://twitter.com/PLZSoccer/status/1564606418375819276?s=20&t=uuO8MjfQwtR044bBe9m6iA
