Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has announced that Rory Fallon, Mitch Megginson, Rob Milsom, Gary Naysmith, Isaac Osbourne, Gavin Rae and Dan Twardzik will not be offered new contracts when their current deals expire at the end of the month while midfielders Stephen Hughes and Jordon Brown have been informed that they are free to look for a new club.
The club can also confirm youngsters Scott MacAulay, Zach Szemis, Stuart Close and Jamie Hamilton will be leaving the club.
The Dons boss commented. "It's one of the least enjoyable aspects of the job to tell players that they won't be staying and I would like to thank all of them for their contribution to this football club. Each of them are excellent professionals and we wish them all the very best in their future careers."
Derek also confirmed that striker Josh Magennis will be offered a new deal.
Some rumours eh!
Another year of Magennis.

Well before my time.
Can any of our elder statesmen give any comments?
Everyone at Aberdeen Football Club wishes Sir Alex a long and happy retirement following this morning's announcement. His contribution, both to Manchester United and Aberdeen, will quite simply never be matched, and it is fitting in many ways, that he has confirmed that he is stepping down just three days before the 30th anniversary of that never to be forgotten night in Gothenburg.
Never be matched eh? Definitely not getting a season ticket now.
