I've said it before, but Maguire is a standout at his age group. Folk calling for him to be released havent got a fucking clue. With a bit of time spent in the gym and played through the middle, he will score plenty of goals for us.

Been hearing and reading all about his OTT celebrations on Saturday, but what did he actually do? I saw him in the highlights run towards the Dons support and wave his hands about a bit and then it cuts off. I presume there was something a bit more inflammatory in there??

I'll reserve judement on Maguire, he is a standout at his age group. He has the talent, not sure about the physique or attitude though. Wouldnt write him off yet.

Considine has already proved in big games this season he has "made it" already. His laspes of concentration are to be expected in a young player, they are just more noticeable/more easily punished because the plays in defence. Can see him going on to be a top player for us in years to come.

In the grand scheme of things, the collapse of AFC would negatively influence a larger number of individuals, businesses etc than the proposed closure of an Ice Rink or a Swimming pool. SportScotland/Holyrood/whoever should be placing a much greater emphasis on the importance of football teams to cities and communties and help them out appropriately.

Norwegian season continues until November and there's no way the Northern clubs can keep grass going until then. The newn generation stuff is no different to grass. I agree our pitch should be better considering the recent money spent on it, but these new pitches could do away with the cost of upkeep and relaying all together, AFC should be looking at it for the community stadium if it ever gets green lighted.

Any decent players at Hamilton? I haven't seen Richard Offiong play for them but I've been following his career and he has scored a shitload for them. Perhaps he'd need to prove himself at a higher level before becoming a realistic option, but some SPL clubs must surely be looking at him.

Plenty good players at Hamilton, I'd take Offion, James McArthur, James McCarthy and Alex Neil. The 2 Mc's have massive potential are already being courted by big bigger clubc than us. Only way we will get any of their players is if they dont get promoted, same applies for the likes of Kevin McDonald at Dundee who could do a good job for us too.

Most of the pitches in the SPL are a joke. Surely for a Northern European country such as ours with the harsh climate, the case for synthetic pitches has got to be made. They are used very successfully in the Norwegian top flight and the year round good surface would definitely contribute to a better style of football. The archaic SFA/SPL needs to take a good look at this.

In fact on Holland they even have a play off system as to who goes on to play in the Chumps league if they finish 2nd and 3rd. But that would mean the SFA would have to face the unthinkable that one of the gruesome twosome could fail to make it through to Europe.

The league would take on a new dimension if this was introduced here, can you imagine the excitement if you knew that 3rd place meant a shot at the Champions League, you'd have about 5 teams really gunning for it from the word go. Took his goal well on Saturday and looked decent despite St Midden by-passing the midfiled at most opportunities.

As far as I'm concerned one of the major problems with Scottish fitba and the main contributor to poor crowds is the declining standard of the product on the park due to teams being too scared to actually try and win games.

Too many teams are more concerned with not losing rather than going all out to win. For example, Rangers playing with one up front in league games even at home and St Mirren holding on desperately to their point on saturday by wasting every minute possible. St Mirren have no chance of making the top 6 and no chance of being relegated so what fucking difference will 1 point make to their season now? Could they not have gone and out and tried to entertain their small band of fans?

I read a report of the Killie-ICT game that took place this weekend and they were praising the Killie style of play and wondering why it hasnt been evident for the rest of the season- cos Killie can play without the fear of relegation now. There are good players in the SPL but too many are being held back by the constraints of managers whose only concern is not to lose.

IMO if the SPL wants the standard to increase they have to try and eliminate the fear factor. The only way I can see this happening is if the league format is changed, with a 16 team league and two relegation/promotion places. Fans are getting more bored by the season and the Self Preservation League needs a good fucking boot up the arse to release the potential that exists.

Two guys on my bus havn't missed any game this season atall which is pretty awesome, they've been to every Uefa cup match, other cup matches and every league game, also another three or four guys have only missed about 1 or 2 matches which is also impressive, me on the other hand only missed 4.
