I watched the 2nd half last night. Hodgekiss was ok, neat and tidy and seemed to be able to do the basics of defending better than Foster, I'd definitely have him in at the weekend. The worrying thing about the reserve game was the style of play we adopted even at that level. It was exactly the same fitba that the 1st team play, kick and rush. The Huns were getting it down and playing it, ours was all sideways passing across midfield, shift it back to the defenders and pump it up front. Fucking dire to watch and shows that there is not one coach at the club who is capable of getting us to play passing football. Duff was bad as was JDV, very pedestrian. Maguire looked ok and Diamond looked fit and ready for the 1st team.

Mulgrew looks class. Actually noticed before the assist on saturday that he aint afraid to use his right foot. Composed, good crosser and free kick taker. Needs to work a bit on defensive positioning but should hopefully be our left back for a few years to come. McDonald looks ok. Reminds me a bit of Dempsey but seems to lack the dynamism to by a natural replacement for Nicholson. At least seemed to know what Aberdeen v Rangers is all about. Kerr - Dont like him. Scared of a tackle and whilst he does ok at keeping the ball moving, he seems utterly incapable of passing forward. I cant think of one completed forward pass he made on Saturday. Shriked so many challenges, needs to move out of his comfort zone and realise that there are greater expectations here than at United.

Cos its a fucking good model of how we should been doing things as a similar sized country. Having secured a left footed left back, a left sided player ala Aluko is a must, maybe Hammil fae Liverpool. Finally a striker to replace Lovell. Doubt the guy Wright is right, would love us to take a gamble on Thompson fae Linfield. Needs to be capable of 10 goals a season to take the pressure aff Bebo. I'd be quite happy with the squad then, dont see RB as much of a problem with Duff or Foster able to play there. A couple of loan signings to cover for injuries and we are laughing.
