I've heard from a good source that we are looking at 2 Dundee defenders; Paul Dixon their young left back who is available under freedom of contract and Jan Zemlik, who I think is a Polish centre half who has been getting rave reviews also. The interest in Dixon is at an advanced stage and I would expect him to be playing here next season. Anybody seen more of these lads in action?

Reckon he is as good as we can hope for, and RB is not a top priority position so I'd like us to keep him providing his wage demands mean he is a mid-level earner at the club. Overall I reckon he is pretty solid

Average player that looked good in a shit side in a very poor league now that he has went to the championship via the premiership he looks out of depth going by some of the comments, passing poor and so on, would still love him to come back though especially with Zander playing really well now.

Pish! A good player IMO. No way is he out of his depth in the Championship. He's come back from a long term injury and is playing a long distance from his family. Plymouth will see his worth if they keep him next season.

Kevin McDonald from Dundee would be a superb signing, worth paying a fee for IMO.

I'd like to see us going for Andy Dorman of St Mirren. Has been a standout for them and loves to get forward from centre mid and scores a few goals.  Scored a cracking volley today. Has the potential to be an able replacement for Nicholson. Would imagine we could get him for a small fee.

Surprise there hasnt been more vitriol on this thread. No matter what you think of Calderwood, Jackie McNamara has been a fucking parasite on this great club. He showed his utter contempt for the club and the city by trying to commute from Edinburgh everyday (which isna actually true cos he hardly ever trained with the rest of the squad). He took a very good wage from us knowing full well that his heart wasnt in it and his fitness was nowhere near the standard required to play in the SPL. He tried to use us as one last pay day. And he showed the watching nation in the semi final how far past it he really is, and after such a shite performance didnt even have the balls to sit on the bench with his team mates and headed straight down the tunnel.

See both Kasper Schmiechel and the boy Zsamoltulski that was at United are looking for new clubs. Both of these would be great addisitons and would be definite number 1 for next season. Kasper will probably have a few offers, but I reckon the Polish guy could be tempted up here. Surely with the cull of players, we can afford to pay a half decent wage for a good quality keeper.

So much for the search for players going worldwide, Calderwood should be sacked for lack of imagination alone. BORING!

He doesn't get much chance to score goals when every ball played to him is aimed at his throat. Maybe if we got the ball to feet we would see the value of Miller as a proper striker. I like him and if he would except a reduced contract (i.e in line with what his team mates earn) then I would definitely get him signed up.

However, if he does leave maybe it will force Calderwoods hand and we will have to play the ball on the deck more next season. Or we'll buy Scott Dobie to do the same job Miller does. Too many questions!
