  1. I can't be bothered scrolling back but someone said we are not in a position to attract a top manager. So what do we do? Sit back and accept our lot? No ambition, accept we can never push forward? Like where it's the managers job to motivate the players on the field, it's the directors job to convince prospective managers we have an ambitous club worth considering coming to. Every result like tonights, against lower opposition, means we have less and less chance of attracting players or managers. You have to try and stop the rot somewhere.
  2. Of course it's hypothetical, and I'm not saying Hughes is the man. I do think, however, on paper at least, he would have a better squad of players with us than he currently has.
  3. Can't even remotely agree. Hughes appears to me to be a straight talking but very honest guy. Whether he talks pish or not isn't the issue, it's whether he could do anything with the squad he would have.
  4. I don't want him to go cos he's a prick, an arse, I don't even think he is useless. Look at what happened to us when he came here and Dunfermlime when he left. I just don't think he has the ability to get us any further. If he has any self respect he will see that himself and go.
  5. Two faced Retard If someone with a brain called me that I could easily taken offence. Coming from someone still unsure whether to stand or sit whilst pissing it's like water off a ducks back. especially someone who has shown he hasn't reached the "retard rung" on the ladder yet
  6. We wont get third. Probably wont get europe but, if we do, be a very early start to the season. I, personally, hope by that time, Jimmy is gone. He has done a lot for the club in the early years but he just doesn't have the ability to take us any further.
  7. Cock of the highest order, didn't realise she was back. Shocking result tonight, didn't see it all but agree can't blame any one player, they all played well below standard from what I saw.

Dearie me, your a bit of a tetchy one, aren't you Your civil partnership just gone sour has it Christ, and to think people thought I was you Before you get yourself all bent out of shape (as opposed to simply "bent") remember who came up with the first hilarious posting. Tomorrow morning try the other side of the bed, obviously the one you got out of this morning was the wrong one
  10. Bit like Vicky Pollard with brains then
  11. I would certainly hope he doesnt become the next boo boy target. I was both surprised and delighted when he signed permanently for us. Like anyone else he is entitled to have an off day at work every now and again - I certainly do, like I'm sure the rest of you. You don't become a bad player overnight though, and he will have considerably more good days than bad. Between Smith and Aluko, I think a fit Smith is still the best player we have. By a huge margin, however, Aluko is the best prospect at the club.
  12. I was working today but my lad was there. His opinion - cracking goal, not much of a football match other than that, both teams scrappy in large parts. Still, as has been said above, it's 3 points, 3 points lost for Scumdee UTD and Hearts, and hopefully a confidence boost

You would have thought he had been rehearsing the part for years

Seen Chubby Brown couple of times, thought he was shit first time, little bit better second (went second time as mate wanted to go, he is English and had sat through Braveheart with me!!!). I know very current but really like Frankie Boyle. Also like Jimmy Carr. From my past, been to see Billy Connolly and Freddie Starr a few times. Both total class. Not sure I'd be so keen on Freddie Starr these days (wierd fucker) but back when I saw him in 1985 he was class. Seen few negatives on here re Jim Davidson. Got to say that matches what people in general say but, seen him live too and his live show is hilarious (and, in my experience, his support are usualy pretty good too).
  16. Had a pic for this thread but still can't work out how to post one Still, will give me time to look through the whole of the thread to make sure it's not up already, can't believe it's not
  17. 4 goals in 4 games = average 1 goal per game. 33 goals in 28 games = average 1.17 goals per game. Last 4 games don't seem to have been enormously different from the rest of the season
  18. I would have thought first team players were in daily contact with th manager So he is not saying he was wrong in any way, just he chose the wrong person Don't think he was meaning the EE then
  19. I was sad enough to try to google it. Looks like initially at Hampdem, if replay occasionally moved.
  20. Why didn't he just keep wearing his special boots? I wasn't at the game Saturday, but from highlights (what little you saw) I thought Jamie was right back in there with his close control etc. Unfortunately it seemed to let him down occasionally but I don't suppose that's too surprising given his time on the sidelines. Smith is, in my opinion, simply the best signing Jimmy has made - when he is fit! I stick by what I said. If we could get to the bottom of his injuries make him a Don till the end of his career. If he continues long periods on the sidelines I feel he is quickly becoming a luxury we can't afford........... ..........then again, would you bet against us selling him to another SPL team, only for him to come back and haunt us!!!
  21. Shouldn't be. Perth or Scumdee more apt. That way Scumdee UTD fans would be able to get a wee feel of the atmosphere, seeing as they are not in it anymore
  22. Apparantly Glass and Jimmy had a scuffle on the sidelines as both were trying to get to the ball!!
  23. Lower wage with bonus/appearance money possibly the way forward with him. He is a quality player and I would love to see him stay.
  24. Couldn't agree more. Smith is undoubtedly the most skillful player we have at the moment but his constant battle with injury means he is becoming a luxury we simply can't afford to have. If theres a way to get to the bottom of his injuries and be fairly sure of his fitness for long parts of a season, sign him to the end of his career tomorrow however.
